  1. AAMCO is known for screwing people over, co-worker of mine towed his 5.0 mustang there cause the tranny seized up and they said it'll be 700 bucks to take it all apart to find the issues, They called him back by the end of the day and told him to go over, He got there and all they did was remove it from the car and never took it apart and said, The Shaft is stuck....that cost 700 bucks, they ever took it appart and expected him to pay $700 for just removing it. He didnt pay and somehow got screwed when he brought his own trans to have them install and then he took them to small claims and was awarded $1500 but they never installed the new trans in correctly, they actually left out the cross-member that held the rear end of the trans from hanging...RIP OFFS
  2. You can clean the oils out of the K&N filter to avoid that problem BUT you do run the risk of more dust flying past the filter, I've done it and havent had an issue with it...also desnorkeled and the car sounds awesome. IMO removing the oil is no different than using those 350+ dollar intake systems cause they dont use oils to trap dirt and are as free flowing as a K&N filter w/o oils. 2-4 HP is possible. This is the cheapest HP you will find on this car. Better sound is guaranteed. There is a higher risk of any oiled filter fouling your MAF ($$)
  3. What i did when placing my 986 emblem was that i used a tape measurer and meansured 33 inches across from the current location of the boxster emblem...basically left to right at the horizonal position of the emblem across the trunk., I placed the 8 from the 986 emblem at the 16.5 inches mark and the emblem about 3 inches from the top of the emblem to the bottom edge of the trunk lid.
  4. Thanks Loren, I figured it was a test plug but i needed to hear it from someone so i can rest at nite.
  5. Resently I removed the trunk covering over the relays and noticed that in space 14 in this diagram for the rear trunk relays http://www.theschillings.com/boxrelay.htm that the relay in space 14 is empty in my car, Is that normal and only used by techs?
