    if you want to use it as a daily trough winter (i am as well), get a set of winter tires, if you can locate a hard top for better protection and heat escape and it also has a rear defroster and it will protect your rear window on your soft-top. its actually a fun car in winter if you got tires for it, its also better to get a set of used 17s to mount winter tires and swap them that way you save money in long run with swapping tires and you can save your summer wheels from salt and winter condition. check your heating system to make sure everything is working fine and you will be good to go. and yes if you get one with glass window softtop it will have heated window option

    once the headlight is apart, is ther a way to get rid of the orange on the inside of them?

    Ben, There is a way to fix that and it was at Porsche TSB I believe. There is a tension spring (looks like a tiny leaf spring) that forces that lip inside the groove. If yours aren't following the groove, you need to remove and reverse the tension spring. It worked for me! Do a search, it's been covered before. Good luck! John i looked but i couldnt find it somehow, do u by any chance have a link to a tension spring fix?

    i wanted to powdercoat 2 sets of wheels, bmw and volvo wheels, and when i said gthat i got over thousand responses saying that. they said from heating them up some strength is lost...to what degree i dont know, but i would want my wheel strength to stay the same. although they do say that some cracking may occur but that would be the worst case scenario. i talked to the guy that was gonna powdercoat my wheels, and he said that some strength would be lost, but you never to the point where you would experience the change in strength of the wheels. so its a 50/50, but i would just paint them. btw, i ended up painting the wheels black. heres a few quick pics, came out great and held up very nicely, i used the rustolium high temp paint

    i wouldnt powdercoat them, the strength goes down. and yes, make sure you be careful when disassembling/assembling the wheels, with torquing the bolts, those are meant to be taken off and on, but not the best quality. jsut be careful. once the centers are take off, i dont see y you would want to take them to professional, its very nice diy kida project, scuff,paint,clear kinda thing good luck, and post up with your results if u get a chance

    i have my radar plugged in there, and in tired of plugging it in and out every time i get in/out of the car. how can i make it only have power when the car on, rite now it always has power. thx

    you did a nice job there man, i like the silver with blue here is mine, i am actually thinking about some white brembo decals instead...that would kinda be a problem if you wanted to do a swap and already clearcoated them :)

    they last, had them on my other car for few yrs now, and no clearcoat either. have them on this car now and they hold up just fine

    id rather spend 800 on other things than labor. for that much money u can respray ur bumper or a hood a few times

    replaced the cap, i had the old one...solved the problem
