  1. Hi Loren, could you please find my code? CR220 Type 4362 Serial# 15031464 Thank you so much!
  2. I had a similar leak a few weeks ago, my leak was coming from the top of the engine and it was dripping from the rear sway bar area. This car has a couple of coolant hoses on top of the engine that bring water from one side of the engine to the other. The dealer had to drop the engine to fix this, they had to replace 2 O-rings ($10).
  3. it reads normal, around 14v I believe, but I dont trust the gauge... I just droped the car at the dealer yesterday, they will look at the battery and at a check engine light that came on last weekend (secondary air pump) I will let you know the results... thanks for your help
  4. Thanks a lot for your help, I will check it today after work. Greg
  5. Very good point! I installed the new battery myself and I made sure the vent was conected, I am not expecting them to pay for the new battery I got 3 weeks ago, I was asking if they would replace the alternator... I have a Fluke meter, should I let the engine idle and read the voltage at the battery terminals? what voltage should I read? Thanks..
  6. Hey guys I purchased an 02 996TT last January from a P-dealer, the car is CPOd. The battery on the car was very old (2004) and it had a blue/green foam that accumulated on one of the terminals. I replaced the battery with a new on 3 weeks ago and cleaned the terminal. Yesterday I opened the battery cover and found the bluish/greenish stuff all over the same terminal again. my questions are: 1) are those symptoms of a faulty alternator/electrical system (overcharging the battery)?? 2) will my CPO cover this? thanks a lot for your help Greg
  7. TXGold; how does the car feel with the GT2 suspension? could you give us some feedback? I might be interested in doing the same on my TT
  8. The engines costs are between $10 - $14k depending on the engine size and delaer reates..
  9. 911 Carrera (996) as of MY01 (1) every 60,000 miles (96,000 km) or at least every 4 years for 99, 00 and 01 is every 30k miles
  10. IS this new cap only for MK1 996s?? I have an 02 996 with a "new" engine replaced on 2004..
  11. it should actually be cheaper than an EVO, I am 27 single no tickets or accidents and pay for full coverage 142 a month.. my brother (25 single) pays for an S2000 240 a month.. sometimes the cheaper performance cars are more expensive than high end cars..
  12. could anyone please give some feedback on the handling improvements.. I own an 02 C2 and I am just about to buy the ROW MO30 suspension kit.. I would like to know how does the car feel after\before.. my car came with the US base suspension.. Thanks
  13. Looks nice... do you think your car will be as fast as mine now?
  14. I am also considering getting the ROW MO30 kit for my 02 996 do you know where could I find the alingment setings? do they come with the kit?? Thanks
  15. I forgot to mention that I got that data from warranty direct wich many people recomended (including PCA). I have only heard good things about them.. Glad to see some ME in the board.. most people here are Doctors, Lawyers and Business guys... Some people say that there are no ME's in hell... they know because is soo hot down there. If any of us could get there we would have designed some kind of HVAC to cool the place down using all that heat :clapping:
  16. FYI extended warraties do not take cars that are: 4 years or older and/or have more than 50.000 miles for a bumper to bumper warranty or 7 years old or more than 75.000 miles for a drive train warranty
  17. I had a 2000 Mustang GT back when I was in college. I could easily overheat the brakes with 3 panic stops. For me the brakes in my 02' C2 are simply awesome!, the pedal is hard and 100% fade free, they inspire so much confidence and the feedback you get from them is just out of this world.. I test drove a 03 M3 before getting my C2 and I found the brakes to be not as strong as the ones in a C2...
