  1. I will give you an idea in labour time to do this : front bumper - L. and R. mirror - front part L. and R. front fender - part of the hood, two men ( one professional + one helper ) approx. 9 hours.
  2. If your engine is not overfill with motor oil, take a look to the air-oil separator. This item is discussed many times do a search ( AOS )
  3. No land or other mines, easy job.
  4. You need comparison values, thy are somewhere on the board i think but i can't find them for the moment, do a search.
  5. I don't no what concerning Durametric, but with the PIWIS you can look in the Actual Values menu.
  6. Blows fresh air in to the exhaust for pollution reasons, oxygen dilute the exhaust gasses.
  7. Look at the water drains under the convertible hood mechanism left and right, good chance that they are clogged, same for the drains in the battery area.
  8. I have got it once, in this case it was the pump assy. After changing the pump everything feels o.k. Let the pressure check in a OPC or good independent.
  9. The steering rack ( inside the rubber belows ) is most common.
  10. Condensation on the inside of the front hood indicate water infiltration coming from outside, rain or washing water, not cooling water or AC condense, all pipes or connections are under the car. Give a look to the density / adjustment of the hood, rubbers, holes and gapes made for retro fit wiring's coming from the battery area, etc.
  11. Under normal conditions you must have at least 2 fault codes, 1 in PSM and 1 in AIR SUSP. perhaps the durametric is not up to date, anyway if you got a brake sensor failure and the car is in warranty go to your dealer, because the sensor is build in the hydraulic group and this is not a DIY job. Regards.
  12. The trouble is oxidation and heat, sometimes you can fix it with a threat insert, sometimes you have to buy a new hub.
  13. The other welded nut is for the sport exhaust commanding valve fixation for ROW.
  14. Probably a bad contact in the connector on the rear of the unit, pull the unit out and check the pins for damage or bad contact.
  15. No special trick for so far as i now, it's rather an easy fix.
  16. By loosen the 6 mm bolts, simple as that, the gasket is liquid stuff sort of silicone. If you have hit something look for cracks in the engine upper oil pan in the environment of the bolts, a leak in this area is uncommon.
  17. There are problems with till MY2005, they are replaced for free after complaint customer.
  18. 17" is stock and the best choice for winter tires traction and price as well.
  19. Official Porsche Center or Independent with a good knowledge to open the door without damages.
  20. If the red led in the remote is flashing and the central locking doesnt work: remote out of synchronisation ( not possible to do the synchronisation without mechanical connection between lock cylinder and door lock / latch ) or remote faulty. If you can turn the lock cylinder, with the key, starting from the middle 90 degrees to the left and 90 degrees to the right without problems or resistance you got the problem as mentioned earlier.
  21. Hi A good change that the door lock / latch is replaced or the door outside handle and the extend of the lock cylinder is out of possition ( no penetration extend - door lock / latch ). In this case is locking - unlocking with the key impossible, concerning the remote control, if the red led is flashing = remote faulty if the red led not flashing = battery empty. Trey the second remote but there is a big change that the remote is out of synchronisation ( after approx. 5 days unused ) and it is not possible to do the synchronisation if the lock cylinder is disconnected from the lock / latch. I think that you can use some help from a OPC or good indy to open the door. Good luck.
  22. If the switch don't light the lamp in the trunk, he don't light the warning in the display.
  23. Start bleeding the clutch - yes it is a hydraulic system - at the slave cylinder on the gearbox with a helper as mentioned above, if your problem come back or even not disappears trey to locate the leak.
