  1. Hi Try this to start with, it's easy to do. Remove the poly V belt from the engine and let the engine idle, if the noise disappears it means that one of the roller bearings or the alternator etc. are faulty. Check the power steering fluid level. Check the clutch release bearing, is there a difference in noise while pushing the clutch pedal ?
  2. Sounds like a bad fuel cap or a faulty valve in the canister - fuel tank purge system. -3.61 on both banks is to match.
  3. Turbo's don't have the RMS problem, most oil leaks in this area are from the TIP. especially the Mercedes TIP. The seal is available.
  4. 987 - 997 GPS and PHONE antennas are bold on a metal plate just above the interior filter on the right side in the battery area, the PCM diversity antennas are integrated in the windshield. If it can help all senders and receivers are out of the cabin.
  5. Replace all is the best you can do, they go's bad anyway. Cayenne have the same problem.
  6. Look in the rear trunk if the underside of the carpet on the right side is wet, if yes, a good chance that the coolant tank is cracked. If the leak is situated just behind the pass. seat, check the water pump.
  7. Hi It's very simple, the pump and sender are one unit. The pump is interchangeable. From the point where you are: disconnect the electric and the two fuel line connectors - turn loose ( to the left ) the big black ring and remove him - pull out carefully the pump-sender unit and replace the pump. Change the seal, install. in reverse order. Success.
  8. Try key 2 and compare the result, if it is still the same you need the PIWIS for testing the alarm and comfort control box.
  9. Hi The buttons are not available separately, they are part of the airbag, the TIP buttons and the multifunction buttons as well.
  10. Yes it is possible, you need the stalk, a single wire, a connector pin and the PIWIS to program the system. ( for LHD European cars )
  11. The bolt is located in the oil pan on the bottom of the transmission ( the black steel pan ). The difference with the most transmissions is the way of filling, from the BOTTOM to the TOP.
  12. A/C drier replacement 996 with circuit empty approx. 15 minutes, empty + vacuum + refill the system approx. 30 minutes in proportion the used machine. I have no idea concerning the price for 2 O-rings and the drier.
  13. Hi Car placed horizontally - engine running at idle - transmission in P - transmission oil temperature between 40° C and 45° C ( you need the PIWIS to check the transmission oil temperature ) - remove the big insert bolt in the oil pan and fill up til the oil overflow a little - replace the insert bolt.
  14. I don't no what US types do but you need a PIWIS or similar tool to check the fault codes. Start to check the headlights, good chance that the second connector have a bat contact or even loose.
  15. Hi It is not only the module, they need the car to change the height on several places with the PIWIS and than calibrate. It takes approx. one hour of labour in the best circumstances.
  16. All litronics have auto leveling and headlight washers in Europe ( obliged by law )
  17. Lifting off the accelerator will cause the sound to stop - i think that it is more engine related than chassis related, check the front engine mount, they go's bad. The silent bloc have to be straight in the middle of the mount. An other possibility is the aircon. compressor, they are noisy when the R134a ( gas ) is to low. You need 0,850 Kg. the noise starts approx. at 0,450 Kg while the aircon. will work normally. Success.
  18. For ROW Europe cars, the best you can do is: turn the key in poss. 2 ( warning lights on the dash on ) disconnect the neg. from the battery once the battery is disconnected you can do with the key what you want before you reconnect the battery reinsert the key in poss. 2
  19. Hi Is the noise only present when the car is in motion or can you hear it parked with the engine running ?
  20. I hope for you that the problem is situated in a loose contact, but i think that the lamp is going bad.
