  1. Go to Tirerack.com and input your current wheel and tire size. Then input the original wheel & tire size. You are looking for the tire diameter. Divide the new diameter by the original diameter. The result should be the factor the speedo is off. If its not and your numbers are correct, there's a problem with the speedo, assuming everything else is original. Skip
  2. Narrow it down. After it stalls but before it will re-start, will it crank but not start or not crank at all ? If it will crank over, then crank it and check for spark. This will, hopefully, tell you whether its an ignition or fuel problem. Good Luck, Skip
  3. My '84 911 oil pressure gauge needle jumped around a lot or was rock steady. Turned out to be the wire going to the sender. It looked fine, but, on close inspection, there was only one wire strand connected between the wire and the connector. The rest had corroded inder the insulation. Re-solder foxed it right up. Note: there is almost no extra wire, so if you have to do this, be sure to remove the absolute minum amount of wire. Good Luck, Skip
  4. He didn't mention anything about driving the car overheated, so why would a blown head gasket require an engine rebuild ? Thanks, Skip
  5. The K&N is supposed to be oiled for proper filtration. It won't filter as well without oil. Peer, don't do it. You won't see any horsepower increase from installing a K&N on the Boxster, and they don't filter nearly as well as the OEM paper filter. You're wasting money to wear your engine out faster. False economy. John Any thoughts on a K & N on a 1984 Carrera ? Thanks, Skip
