  1. Correct, the Fabspeeds are actually thicker than the stock exhaust piping
  2. compass is an addon, not standard for that year
  3. The S exhaust at full revs can sound a bit like an F1 car, with the bypass pipes on in makes that sound even more pronounced, get someone else to drive it past you at full bore, it sound very different outside than inside I love it
  4. If you look here you may get some information http://gallery.rennlist.com/cayennegallery...an2?&page=1
  5. Thanks, just destroy the old part when replacing or hoses required ?
  6. Is item 20 , the check valve, the one reffered to as Tank Vent Valve (PET Section 1 107-00) item 13 ?
  7. Loren, have you ever heard of a Purge Valve on a Cayenne S. its related to P0441 Incorrect Purge Flow error Its supposed to be under the design covers drivers side. I cannot see on PET, I admit I am still not used to it tho. Mike
  8. Even when I fill up with her off now I have trouble starting I have been told a purge valve could be responsible
  9. Try sunsetimports.com Can you tell me where you got your parts for $350? (Or anyone else tell me where to get less expensive parts). My dealer is quoting me $700 for the "kit". My tubes just went out last night, dumping coolant everywhere... I'm stuck!! Thanks
  10. Thanks RFM here are all the codes P0011 A camshaft Position Timing Over Advanced or system performance B1 P0441 Incorrect Purge Flow 2100 Footwell Flap (again) 1520 Rain/Light Sensor Mike
  11. This started 2 weeks ago but I was on travel so now I need to address it. Symtoms 1 - CEL 2 - At Parking lot for 12 days, clock lost time 3 - If I try to fill up with engine running (bad but I always do) sounds like cavitating blowback 4 - After I fill up, with engine off, (due to worrying noise) when auto start kicks in it struggles and I have to tickle the gas pedal to get her going, she stay around 400 revs for a while, unstable idle then ok. Drives well after these events. My thoughts. 1 - Battery on the way out 2 - A fuel pump has stopped working leaving 1 to do all the work 3 - Fuel sytem not presurising properly (maybe Gas Cap) Any thoughts would be a great help
  12. If I remember correctly the read diff lock is not standard, you have to have the off-road package option. I would be more worried about why the engine was replaced. Few ever need to be replaced, if it had been thrashed to death then I would also worry that the transmission and the diffs may also be "worn" to say the least.
  13. The PCM 3.0 firmware is also required if you want to install the latest maps (2008) The update can take awhile to do, make sure you keep the engine running or put a charger on the car when you do it. THAT IS if you can get your hands on the disc which is hard to find now. Hi - Apparently you can upgrade the PCM2 firmware using a CD-ROM from Porsche. This disc upgrades the firmware from software version 2.0 to 3.0. Im not really sure of the actual improvements but I believe it enables Post Code/Zip Code Input for destination? I have an upgrade disk for 966/Boxter but not for Cayenne, apparently these use a different Device Number (6635 I think). Can anyone else help us?
  14. You failed to state the purpose of the project so back to EE classes for you Kidding ;-)
  15. I would walk away, I have an 04S with over 90k and never come across such an issue. I would be worried that the LPG conversion has toasted the engine
  16. The rear sensors are not impacted by the install, my gallery on rennlist has pictures of the mechanics not the electrics tho
  17. Maybe the new headunit cannot handle the diversity antenna system on the Cayenne
  18. Plugs were damaged by the bad coils
  19. Well that makes a bit more sense, its hard to see in the photo. I have seen that before and if my recall is correct it was the display, not broken outside of tolerances, (i.e. no warranty replacement) Try moving the stick to manual and then back again when it does that, to see if it fixes it.
  20. You should be able to find a spare switched or unswitched fuse bay on the left hand fusebox (opent he door and pull the cover off) There is no aftermarket connectors fitted by porsche. Do a search for a mObridge unit, its upside down like you are, gives everything you will need to interface with the fibre.
  21. Well I did hear that Nav was an option on the 2.1 system but I never came across one before. That error is quite specific, if it had failed I would expect another type of error. RFM / LOREN any ideas ?
  22. When the coils go, most likely the plugs were damaged also. All 8 must be suspect as should all 8 plugs
  23. Looks like something has attacked the painted lip and etched it, try regular polish see if that works
