  1. They are all held on the same, clips. Try the strip over the glove box first, use a plastic lever under the bottom and lift it from the side. quote name='PSDog' date='Oct 27 2007, 02:16 PM' post='83509'] I've seen similar topics posted but didn't find much specific guidance. I'm replacing the interior trim in my 05 Cayenne S, removing the alulminum trim and installing olive wood (OEM). Can anybody offer some guidance on removal and installation of the trim pieces? Now that I've bought a box of parts I need to figure out what to do with them :D .
  2. I would try to get Becker to repair it first
  3. Does anyone know for sure this works ? Typically Porsche electronics are iffy at best Thanks :D
  4. You could buy a mObridge (MOST) iPod adapter and run the Pioneer in thru its aux port. I run my Sirius in thru there and it sounds great.
  5. I have heard of that, the fix was to re match the key with the car using PIWIS (dealer job)
  6. OH my poor demented friend you are working on the basis of Porsche is the lets give money away to provide value for money company instead of the reality of Porsche who will cut corners on every occasion to make more money. They hide cheap stuff where you cannot see it. Why would they approve alternative filters ? I think the PAG your talking about died 30 years ago.
  7. Is there a preference for head injuries ? back of the head or forehead ? hmmmmm. Maybe that would work if you had some tiny passengers. I'd still be a little concerned about safety. Also - there are no seatbelts back there.
  8. I have had racing filters in mine for 50k miles. I have cleaned them twice, with no issues. Purists seem to hate them but I like them. I wouldn't mess with K&N, since they have been reported to mess up your MAF. Not worth it since there's no real performance gain. I would buy a pair of OEM Touareg V8 filters cheap from VW dealership (same parts as ones on Cayenne, and follow Mudman2's instructions: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...&hl=mudman2 (check out his gallery for photos).
  9. Thats going to be tough, the rake on the rear window will cause the rear passengers head injuries.
  10. Mine lasted 3 years Sometimes a leg sensor can throw the computer off. Its amazing what a couple of restarts can fix on the Cayenne
  11. NO absolutely do not do that Without a valve inserted thats not going to leak. I had that a few time, each times it went away itself until the last time when the compressor was replaced. My guess is it may have corrected itself, if not Loren is right you need the error codes from PIWIS I noticed the air nozzle port -- located on front passenger seat next to storage drawer) was uncovered. i wonder if somehow something started draining the air from the compressor storage tank - if i recall, this nozzle leads to the tank that keeps the suspension loaded. if this is the case, couldn't i hook up an outside air source and add air to that tank? certainly don't want to blow the thing up :)
  12. What temperature do you have it set to and what is the outside temp ? The air is supposed to run all the time except in economy mode but I was told it does not work to well like that. Sounds like a problem
  13. Here is the thread, (hope you dont mind Loren) http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...eferrerid=14620
  14. I took mine out 2 weekends ago. I posted pics on Rennlist. Remove side trim panel, center roof trim rear seat belt rear quarter glass surround Lovely isn't it. Actually not that bad give me an email address and you can have the manual pdf's and pictures Mike
  15. Parrot also sell their technology to others, this is built into the new device. Contact Scott...... snelson@mobridge-usa.com
  16. Its fully available in November I understand, for the Cayenne its brand new. The 3100 bypases the audio system it taps into the CAN bus as this is where the buttons are connected The stuff on their website does no look like production quality.
  17. If you mean in the USA the answer is no I dont think so. Also FYI the phone prep kit was a bit of a joke as PAG had almost no solution, a proprietary plug and play cradle with specific cradles for certain phone types.
  18. Euro 2.0 supported SimCard, 2.1 in the US. No 04 US models supported phones. You could put 2.1 in an 04 but it will be a hell of a job.
  19. FYI only, the mObridge MOST interface features a Parrot Bluetooth system integrated so all controls are active for iPod Aux Input and Video.
  20. Search Ebay there are usually lots to choose from
  21. If the noise is a sort of a sqeak sqeak noise it can be the heater vent servo motors, they cant make their mind up which way they should be set so hunt back and forth.. They were a problem, although I have not heard of new cases for a while. My dealer ended up replacing about 3 of them, 2 of them twice. If your under warranty get the dealer to fix, if not get some ear plugs as I hear that taking them out can be very costly in labor hours. Mine still does it periodically, I just turn the stereo up. Mike
  22. US dealers regularly break the stabaliser bar, be carefull.
  23. There is quite a lot of space behind the glove compartment against the firewall. Its not hard to remove the glove box
