  1. On a 2000 996 the window drop feature works correctly until you let go of the handle. Once you let go of either handle (inside or outside) the window pops up again. So you pull the handle and it drops, but you let go of the handle to close the door, and CRASH goes the window into the roof. I have done a search and did not find this particular problem. Any ideas?
  2. Well, the problem isn't putting gas in the car, but not being able to start the car after it has been filled up. I checked fuse E6 anyway, because there may be a connection if you suggested it. The fuse is there, and intact.
  3. 2000 Boxster is very difficult to start after it is filled with fuel. CE light is on and code is P0446. Anybody else experience this problem?
  4. Any tricks on replacing the rear spoiler wall on a '99 996? I have tried to search but came up with nothing.
  5. Can PSM be permanantly disabled for racing? The car will be a dedicated racecar and will no longer be street driven.
  6. I have searched and found that there are green bulb holders which control the dash illumination lights. It says that you have to open up the cluster, but I have not found instructions for opening it. Thanks in advance!
  7. 97 Boxster has a problem with the wipers. They no longer park themselves. Any ideas?? Thanks!!
  8. Maybe I should rephrase the question. Is it possible to do the job without removing the engine?
  9. Any tips regarding changing the oil seperator in a 2000 996 tip without removing the engine? Thanks in advance.
  10. Has anyone had any luck getting rid of these 2 codes. It's a 99 Boxster 5-speed with a new oil seperator. Any ideas? Thanks
  11. No key in the ignition, and obviously I wait for all the lights to go out in the interior.
  12. What is an acceptable amperage drain on a 99 C2? With the car closed up, the front trunk lock pushed down to simulate a closed trunk I am getting a reading of 1.0 amps. This seems high to me. Does anybody else have any readings they would like to share?
  13. Do these need to be replaced with every spark plug replacement?
  14. Sorry to resurect an old thread, I know that it is in poor taste, however, have we made any progress getting rid of the 1124/1126 code?
  15. Thanks Loren, I will check and clean the grounds. Somebody mentioned the Terminal X relay could be a problem. What is it, and where is it located?
  16. No I have not. Should I check in the rear trunk? Some water had gotten back there due to a bad trunk seal.
  17. On a 99 Boxster, I am experiencing an intermittent non-crank problem. I have replaced the ignition swith, bypassed the clutch pedal switch, replaced the DME and starter relays in the trunk. I also tested the starter itself, it works when you put power to it, sometimes there just is no power getting to it. Any other ideas?? :lightbulb:
  18. Get a sunshade immediately, or watch the waves on your dash swell like Malibu.
  19. Has anyone ever experienced oil in the coolant reservoir. Thee does not appear to be any coolant on the dipstick or any milky substance in the dipstick tube. The car is a 99 996. Could a bad oil separator be the problem and if so how difficult would it be to change. The car is out of warranty so a new engine would be a very bad thing. Thanks for any help.
