  1. Thanks Loren, I'll certainly give them a try. Can the metal skin be ordered seperately? Is it miserable to seperate from the sunroof assembly? Parts?
  2. Here are the photos, and I agree that having the dealer remove it in any case is the smart move. Then what?
  3. I did one of the stupidest things ever! While raising my '06 997 up on the lift in my garage I raised it too high. Long story about how that happened ends with a crease in my sunroof. I'm inclined to believe that a dent doctor will not succeed. I would like some ideas about repair. New sheetmetal? Repair? Take out of the car first? All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
  4. I would think BBS, as they make most, if not all, Porsche OEM wheels. You should find markings on the inside of the wheels. donlycan
  5. That is exactly what they do. I just had it done to my 997 at APR in AL. donlycan
  6. Thanks again for the great info!!! :renntech:
  7. Thanks for the input. I thought I had seen a number of cars (Caymans) with the larger wheels. I even thought that Porsche offered the same stlye as the 997's with the correct offset. I'm still confused. donlycan
  8. The inflator (compressor) comes in a black case which is stored in the front compartment. It fits inside the spare tire under the carpet. Good Luck! donlycan
  9. When purchasing the fibre optic cable, it is wise to buy the one for Bose (if you have) and cd changer. I've had this retrofit done (I bought the parts) and that was the reccomendation of the Porsche dealer parts man. I was well pleased with that suggestion as I later added the changer. I paid just under $2000 for all the parts for my '06 997. donlycan
  10. Will all factory 997 (narrow body) Factory OEM 18" and 19" wheels fit on the 987 with 17mm spacers on the rear and no additional spacers on the front??? donlycan
  11. Vinylex for all but leather and Lexol for leather. I've been using these products for many years and have been very satisfied. donlycan
  12. If you use the Meguier's product with a Powerball, the results are stunning! donlycan
  13. Hi, I'm looking for tire pressure reccomendation for 20" wheels on my '06 997. The widths are 8.5" & 11". 305's on the rear. Thanks in advance. donlycan
  14. I have 4 sensors that I would be willing to sell. I would want $300 for them. They are from an '08 Carrera S. donlycan
  15. Thanks All! I'll be happy without TPMS. lol donlycan
  16. Positive? I don't know where it displays. I also have sport chrono plus. donlycan
  17. I just purchased a used set of Champion RS 128 20" wheels with Conti tires. These wheels came with TPMS sensors installed. Question-Can the PCM in my '06 997 read? Does it need to be programmed? Thanks in advance! donlycan '06 997 manual PCM 2.1
  18. I never knew there was more than 1 rev limiter. How could a 987 rev to 10 grand from a missed down shift??? Wouldn't the regular rev limiter kick in? donlycan
  19. Das Sport makes a quality bolt-in roll bar. I have one of theirs in my '91 C2 Cab.
  20. Ken's question is only regarding different year 997 Targas.
  21. I don't think it matters where you get a temporary tag. They are typically good for 30 days anywhere. I've gotten them from both the seller's State and my home State. donlycan
