  1. Done the mod today on my MY03 C2. Works well, and I added the switch on the top of the relay as well to enable me to set it back to std setup if necessary. Thanks y'all :D
  2. I asked my local dealer about this, and was advised that the 987 wheels should not be fitted to 986 series cars. Thats not to say they cant fit or wont fit, just that Porsche specifically documented that they shouldnt be fitted. Apparently the hubs are different on the 987 from the 986..
  3. Cheers for your help ar38070. I done the swap today, and put together some detailed notes in case anyone else needs them in the future. Boxster_Rear_Bumper_Removal.pdf
  4. As ToolPants says its has been done in the UK, and I might just know someone who done it...... ;)
  5. Are there any instruction on how to remove\refit the rear bumper on an 03 Boxster, to replace it with a new bumper? Is it also necessary to remove the spoiler as well?
  6. Yep, mine suffers from that too. One dealer thought they had a fix on another car, by inserting a foam strip within the roof, but the fault has come back again. Another dealer adjusted the roof cables on my car, but it didnt make any difference. I think that the problems is that Porsche dont officially recognise it as a fault as yet, so wont research a fix for it.
  7. Ian98627 over on www.boxa.net did an 03 update on his 2000 Boxster, including both front and rear bumpers. He should be able to give you specifics on any problems that occured during the swap, if you want to go on there and PM him
  8. Ahh yes, i :clapping: will take great delight in going back to advise them on how to do it as they struggled to the point of giving up !! ;)
  9. Just to let you all know, I got this project completed today. Thanks to everyone TP, Abe986 etc for their assistance with this. Here is a picture as proof!! ;)
  10. My RMS is being replaced this week, with 9K miles on the clock.
  11. Cheers TP, I have the 3-stalk control and VW wires already, just waiting to collect the connector/parts from the OPC and I will be forging on with it next weekend ;)
  12. All, Can anyone advise whether enabling the OBC via the PST2 before you complete the installation and wiring will illustrate any error or fault code on the PST2, because the wiring isnt complete and present in the car? I ask this in the event that my OPC tell me they have tried to enable it, and get an error and then decide they can't complete the process, when in fact this may be normal as the complete circuitry isnt present. Cheers
  13. Scott, I see you are from England, so if you are looking for a replacement or upgrade, here is a company that may be able to help. 9M Racing They do a 3.2 S engine for £~4K so may be worth getting in touch. Hope your back on the road soon!
  14. I done this a couple of months back on my 03 S. When you remove the battery from the tray, you will see to large black grommets against the 'firewall'. One of them is essentially a blanking grommet, I decided to use that one, and then I cut a very small slit in it, to run the cable through using some sort of pushrod device. (I used long piece of plastic tube, to avoid any danger to electrics etc). The pipe will appear from behind the dash depending on which direction you target when pushing through. Hope this helps
