    You don't need spacers. Those wheels are the right offset for your car. The 5mm spacer might give a better look but they are not needed.

    FYI.....Discovery just dropped Top Gear from it's lineup. We have quite the heated threads (aimed at Discovery) going on over at Rennlist to encourage that faithful following to protest the channels desite to cancel the show. There are links in the threads that direct you to customer suggestions/complaint forms. Sad day in programming when they drop one of the great cars shows. And what, they had a better show to replace it? They have like 5or 6 different Discovery channels and they can't possibly have enough content to fill all that programming space. Hopefully they bring it back!

    Front pads through the board sponsor here (Sunset Imports) sells at dealer cost plus 15%. $103 for the front pads plus $20 if you want the vibration dampeners. Install can be done yourself in less than 30 minutes. Brakes are very simple on these cars. What concerns me is that they wanted to charge you $550!!! List price on Genuine Porsche parts is $145 for the set of front pads and the dampeners list at $8 (need four of them). So roughly $175 in parts for fornt pads. By that measure they are charging you 3-5 hours for install (depending on their hourly rate) which is INSANE! I can't imagine the TU's listed in the dealers books as more than 2 hours.

    No easier or harder after the fact. Do a search for Orient Express (screen name) install of the PSE and electronics. We detailed and a great write-up. YOu could do just the cans right now and then comes back later to do the electronics. YOU can have the cans done in as quick as 30 minutes, but most DIY'ers take roughly 1-2 hours. Personally I gladly paid the dealer $100 to do it since it was worht my time and all the small business I can throw their way goes a long way after my warranty runs out.

    1 hr for the cans and 6-8 for the electrical so you dealer is quoting acurately (and slightly lower as Loren stated based on TSB TU's). I personally could care less about the electricals (as do most) and just installed the cans. My dealer offered to do it for 1 hr ($100) and that was worth it to me since I was crunched for time. WIfe and I talked about the electronics and after driving it for some time she is glad we didn't waste the money on them. NOTHING QUITE LIKE THE SOUND OF PSE!!!

    The "RMS Issue" is really a non-issue. Do a search on the topic and you will be reading from here till the end of time. Basically, an $800-$1000 fix and pales to the "fixes" that earlier 911's required. If the RMS is the only thing that has you worried then you are doing fine. BTW, you are not nuts if you do your homework and due diligence in getting it totally looked over (PPI) and checking on it's full history. YOu can do this with the owner/dealer/and PCNA all with the VIN#.

    You should get an amber bulb with the clear replacements. I use the amber bulbs behind the clears in my Pepper but in the 911 I use the original clear bulbs behind the clear side lenses.

    That has got to be the weirdest post I have ever seen! Very cool. My suggestion would be to replace the airbag and store it inside to prevent smears, etc.

    I bought the GT3 bumper for $1500 from B-Wine about a year or so ago at the same time I bought my side skirts and PSE from them. I have seen them on eBay from a vendor for about $900 but not sure if it is factory or aftermarket fiberglass. The wheels are the 02+ lightweights and they are the EXACT size and offsets that go on the car..... 8x18 50et up front and 10x18 et65 in back. 225 in front and 285 in rear. As for the color it may be the clear bra reflects light different than the non clear bra hood and fenders. But there is absolutely no different shades of color. Just crappy photography on my part.

    I paid $1095 shipped from B-Wine about a year and a half ago on an eBay auction they had at $1095 buy it now and shipping included. Funny thing is the day before the auction posted I called them to inquire about the litronics and they wanted $1500 plus shipping. Thought that seemed high. Funny how things work out. One thing about the litronics though. They are very popular amongst the theifs in certain parts of the country so be VERY CAREFUL if you decide to buys used (cough....I mean stolen) on eBay. Don't want to bring that bad karma on yourself. BTW, thanks for the compliment Chronos. :cheers:

    Sure is!!!! One of the best colors ever produced. Can't tell you (since I am sure you experience the same) but I get so many people come up to me and ask what color it is since it is so beautiful. Just a very classy looking color for the car.

    Nope, nice try though. You essentially are looking for a freebie and they have no idea who you are from Adam and for all they know will never go back there. Remember, they are the ones that paid a hefty sum for the PST2 and the yearly $3K udpates so they need to recoup the money back somehow. By the way, being a SA for BMW has nothing to do with the price of tea in China. Do you have the EXACT same policy with ALL who enter your dealership wanting a freebie? Didn't thnk so. Besides, if you are a SA with BMW, I would beg the question, why no professional courtesy chat with your Porsche SA?

    My dealer did it gratis. This is something that really pisses me off when dealers don't do it. It is the easiest way to establish a good rep with your customer. BUT......if you don't use that dealer for service in any way shape or form then you should be charged the hour. I happen to have a great relationship with my dealer and have the greatest service advisor and would never expext to be charged for something like that and to date (3 years and 2 porsches later) I have never been charged for misc things like this. It all comes down to your relationship with the dealer. If they don't know you from Adam then you will probably pay, if you use them for service form time to time and just pop in to say hi every now and then chances are you will get many services gratis as appreciation for your patronage.

    Just hit the CAB button on your dash to stop the procedure when the windows start up. That is what I do.

    Are you sure they are TRUE centerlock wheels and not a dummy lock that still has the five bolt holes?

    It appears that alot of people that have reported having the RMS problem have been those will low mileage where the car wasn't driven as hard, especially on the track. Driving the car like it should have been driven allows the seals to seat better in the beginning days and those that didn't seat as good, well you know what happens. But as Loren said, it happens to be one of those things that is not prejudicial......it has happened to all types. You would think by now they would be able to figure out if it was a series of VIN's that were in a bad batch, but that isn't the case either. Very disturbing annoyance if you ask me! Fixable under warranty, alot fixed after warranty, roughly $800 if you have to pay out of pocket so no big deal, but a huge annoyance as I said.
