  2. great news!!! I did what you said and push started the car and it cranked right up. So does that definitely mean the starter is bad, I have tried everything for two weeks so believe me when I say thanks alot...
  3. I am trying one more option before I empty my savings account to the dealership(lol) I have a 99 porsche boxster, what I am wondering is there any signs or anyway to check to see if the ecu is faulty. I have replaced the ignition switch and jumped the clutch switch also checked all the fuses. It will power up all the accessories and the silnoid will click but it will not attempt to turn over, thats why i think its something electrical. I am no auto guru just joe the plumber I need some help from the wealth of knowledge from the porsche gods....
  4. NO the engine is not turning over, the silnoid i clicking but thats it. It doesnt even attempt to turn over... This Might be one of those things that never happens and it is some type of weird problem It might have to go to the dealership
  5. Please help, I have a 99 Porsche boxster 2.5 I started my car and when i put the key in it would go all the way in, after jiggling it for a few seconds it finally went in and started right up. I went to the store and got gas when I went to start it, it would not turn over the accessories came on and everything sounded good but it wouldnt attempt to crank. I got it home and changed out the ignition switch and jumped the clutch switch but still wouldnt start. Where do I go from here.........
  6. Hey Guys, I just changed out my ignition switch and cutch switch and now the key turns to easy and I can pull the key out at any position and the accessories stay on all the time. Should I change out the part that the key goes in, and if so can I just take out the part the key goes in or do i have to take the whole assembly out.
  7. Oh yea one more thing since the problem occured when i turn the key to the on position there is a count from 5 where it shows the oil level....does this mean anything
  8. How do you adjust it and When I first try to start the car the key wouldnt go in after wiggling the key it went it and after that the key almost goes in to easy like something is wrong with the ignition
