  1. how old is the oil in these pics? 10-15k mi? btw, how much was wix?
  2. Great write up. Any more pics of the hole you had to drill and where the ballast was mounted? Great job!
  3. Sounds like excessive wear in a 1-2 yr car. You should be able to get it under warranty. If not, try another dealer. I'd find out what causes this (shoes with tabs on heels or something) after new mats. I think these are ~$150 but you can order from Llyod with a border design or script of your choice if you are paying for it.
  4. the door handle can be popped out in 5 min. the door pocket is a little tricky. plenty of leather ones on ebay. if you need the silver door release, let me know. I have an extra set that I'll sell for 1/2 of list.
  5. fold mirror to see if that helps. push window out a little too
  6. Eyeballing the key will not work. They look very much alike but not the same. You may want to have dealer bring their key to your house. A road side service type of work.
  7. your ins co should pay for it. it's a full replacement top. insist on getting it done by a dealer w factory top. chances are, your top will be cut again so find a garage or use a car cover. get some motion sensor lights if possible.
  8. What do you mean standard p car tire is Kumho? Kumho is not N spec so it's not OEM recommended.
  9. is it possible that the battery needs to be charged?
  10. Just tint it from the inside glass. Why need to be removed???? The glass is pretty small so tinting doesn't make that much sense unless you tint the sides too.
  11. ebc green is low on dust. such pads have heavy synthetic or ceramic content so be sure to pick one that is rotor friendly. you want to change pads and not rotors. metal axxis are good but i''m not sure which one you want. the organic will probly dust more. you may want to wax the wheels to help with the cleaning in the future. try using a synthetic wax like rejex or zaino.
  12. It's supposed to raise volume by measuring the noise level in the car. So, if the car is going fast and has a lot of highway noise, it'll make the radio louder.
  13. it's usually about 900 w spark plug change. this does not include brake fluid, fuel filter change which is often another $350. if you have other issues that needs to be addressed (tires, leaks etc), you are looking at more. the question is, what svc does your bill include for $1895?
  14. Take it to an auto repair shop or gas station shops. Brake fluid is very hard to recycle / dispose. Motor oil is easy.
  15. you cannot add ipod to an 04 wo replacing all stereo components - amp, hu, cdc and wiring between them.
  16. mileage is stored in the ecu not in the display cluster. you'll need a radio code when popping in a new radio.
  17. You will probly get around 7-8k off of msrp. When 997 came out, 996 was selling over 10k off. A strpped model will yield less discount tho. Unless you get a smoking deal, buy local to avoid shipping cost and hassle.
  18. Glad you figured it out. I knew it was some loose wire thing. When you take stuff apart, it's easy to miss something. Let's see pics of ur mods! Congrats!
  19. 5w30 is too thin at high temp to protect engine.
  20. when the car is in the sun and the top is hot, spray the top with a bottle of water. it will steam the top if the top is hot enough. alternatively, use a clothe steamer (not an iron).
  21. I thought these tools a very expensive. Unless you do at lot of RMS, you probly can't even break even. On jobs like RMS, just spend the money to have it done. You'll have a 2 yr warranty on future leaks.
