  1. No, the audible sound is only if a sensor is open or busted..you come up with some very interesting questions? Do you actually lock the cab with the top down?
  2. When you use the key FOB to lock the car, do you hear any audible sound? If so this indicates something has been left ajar (like the center console) or a sensor has gone bad.
  3. I have the SmartTop not the remoteTop. Make sure the module is connected tightly. Did you use the velcro strap to secure it? Just disconnect and reconnect to make sure all is well. Lastly, I did have to have mine replaced once (similar symptoms).
  4. Andy, Just try resetting the system...unlock the door manually and press the key fob unlock within 10 seconds.
  5. What brand is the 100 Octane...if it is VP...good to go. Yes you can mix it to get your 93 min. As the dealer said it won't actually hurt to run 91, just ECU will retard timing to prevent knock. Probably a waste to run straight 100 (although that is what I run all the time).
  6. Well folks...I misunderstood you curved description, but got it now. The only comment I have is the valeo blade works great, looks much better than stock (cleaner looking too) and is easy to install. You order the blade specifically for your car make and model.
  7. You don't have an issue with the passenger side? Is a portion of the windshield missed because the passenger side blade is straight, not curved? --Brian I don't know what you mean by straight...the Valeo blade fits the windshield like a glove and has a built in wind spoiler.
  8. I got mine from Tire rack...buy one get one free....way better than stock BTW. Get the Valeo model...here is the link: Tirerack Valeo
  9. I don't think you remove the seat panels to get to the drains...you remove the wheel liner, but here is the rear seat panels: Renntech is great!
  10. Is it the device sold by Wilhelmy...Mods4Cars? If so...it works great. You do not need the wiring diagram.
  11. Huh? ABS and PSM related to emissions? Silly me thought they stood for "Antilock brake system" and "Porsche stability management". I guess a fiery crash would affect the overall emissions of the vehicle. OK so you want to be a wise*ss or do you want some help? Unfortunately both ABS and PSM lights are catch-alls for a number of fault codes...For example, if you blow your MAF you will get ABS/PSM lights. The only way to know what is going on is to get the codes read or we can play land of a thousand guesses.
  12. Should be no problem...those are usually related to emissions. Now a flashing CEL...that may be a different story. Did you try disconnecting the battery to see if they go away?
  13. For PM sake...the DVs are recommended. Hoses are usually recommended as you increase hp (beyond stage 2). Plugs should be considered. BTW I would check out Ultimate Motrowerks for Kevin's handheld flasher...for the ECU.
  14. My guess is Chuck is right...of course in a turbo it's a different story...but who mods their car anyway?
  15. Define significant problem...the problem (statistically) with using the internet is it tends to be a biased, inappropriate sample for drawing conclusions from. You could develop some hypotheses based on this sampling, but (scientific method) then requires some deductive reasoning (i.e., sampling plan) to provide insight to those hypotheses and ultimately lead to conclusions.
  16. As long as the battery is disconnected when you switch the wheels, there will be no need to reset the codes! Also I had no problem with alignment of the wheel??? Looks great BTW.
  17. I don't know of overlays per se...they would be rather cheap, but for parts check out John @MAcarbon...I have used many of his products and thay are much more reasonable than Porsche...and better than OEM quality.
  18. It looks like you are not adding that much...just flashing the ECU and exhaust (stage 1). Always cool your turbos down before shutting the engine off (idle for 60-120 seconds). Have fun with the new power!
  19. I'm not going to get in an argument, but I have tried virtually every product on the market (sitting in my garage) and use Zaino now. The new CS product goes on and requires NO buffing...I think this is what the turtle ice is supposed to do. Granted I put it over a very good base of Zaino polymer sealant, but you might give it a try.
