  1. The improvement in mid-range torque is close to 30% and ability to hold/sustain boost at 1.2 bars...easy. Probably the most noticeable change...if you have the other components to take advantage of it (e.g., will not help stock K16s).
  2. did you upgrade the wastegate springs? If not the stock ones will release pressure too early, thus preventing achieving higher boost. You should upgrade the DV, but this is not likely the reason for the difference unless the stock ones have failed. The main reason for upgrading the stock DVs is maintenance, not performance. I'm not sure how accurate or precise the stock pressure gauge is, but I do suspect it is not responding as quickly as the one you hooked up to the DV.
  3. Just get the Si boost hoses and be done with...so future upgrades are no problem...
  4. I love to mod, but I must admit when I see it in pieces I always freak out a bit...So I suppose you are doing some aerokit stuff..like Strosek or TechArt..and lots of CF...what about performance mods? BTW lots of folks do a C4 lip...painted...gives more clearance and still looks good. Good luck...have fun!
  5. Sounds like you need to get the roof adjusted and calibrated. The steadler does this, but make sure the SmartTop is removed when you take it. The SmartTop did not do this.
  6. What year? If it is relatively new, you can hook jumper cables to the spot in the fuse box and then open the hood as usual. There is a cable behind the wheel well for some model years.
  7. Undeniably a great forum for anything technical. (PS thanks Loren)
  8. Lauren, It is for a 2004 996TT cab, but my guess is they are all the same...bolt that attaches the seat belt to the seat frame. TIA!
  9. The boing sound is from the springs moving in their socket. This can be eliminated by installing the stock thrust bearing and rubber washer. The installation instructions from Bilstein are not that great.
  10. Bad DV's do have a honking sound, but performance is also affected. Don't know what that is sorry.
  11. It would be helpful if you got the actual codes read and posted them. Did you get ABS/PSM and eventually a CEL?
  12. Alright already we heard you. Did you ever hear of google for searching? UMW Protomotive
  13. I mean size does not matter for the connection...You can get the Dension box from Eric @ bumperplugs.com. Yes you can see tracks on the screen if you have nav...don't know about others. Check out this link for all you want to know: Dension
  14. Just Port and polish the stock headers...for better flow. The length of the stock headers is perfect. Claim of 30hp is smoke and mirrors.
  15. In the US this kit can be purchased from Kevin at Ultimate Motorwerks. You should be able to get Sachs Stage 2 clutches in Italy! http://www.sachsna.com/
  16. I'm not sure why size matters...You have MOST so you will need an aftermarket solution for it to be seen in the fiber optic ring. I have the Dension Gateway 500 and have the iPod hooked up...works great!
  17. I would suggest hybrid turbos for less lag...Don't need new IC's for 600hp, Probably do not need FPR unless at altitude. Wastegate kit great...set to 1.2. Definately exhaust, intake plenum and intake/filter..all about the air flow. Yes on the clutch..Sachs stage 2 GT3RS...Must have ECU! May need new suspension as well. Have fun.
  18. I just replaced mine as well with the Interstate...MTP-93...perfect fit and 850 cold cranking amps.
  19. Yeah, it was too big and it's spreading. I got Elite auto glass to do it with Factory glass from the dealer.
