  1. First, start your own thread. Second get the codes read...just because nothing is showing doesn't mean codes aren't registered. Could be many things.
  2. 10W-40 is not a recommended weight. For warner climates try the 5W-50.
  3. I use the interstate one, also hardwire connection to the battery and it has a plug-in adapter to the cable that plugs into the wall. I just unplug from the front and go.
  4. I had this issue when my fuel hose ruptured inside the tank...it happened twice.
  5. I decided to get rid of the slave/acc with the GT2 replacement.
  6. TMK, if the spoiler was disconnected then none of it would move. It is possible the ram is failing or needs fluid (do a search on spoiler hydraulics). Do you have any codes? You can use the rocker switch to manually control the spoiler or pull fuse D7 (which also affects the bonnet).
  7. Sounds like a bad amp or wiring (check the ground wire). Where are you (obviously not in the US)?
  8. From what I have heard (and from when I researched the topic), it is best to do coil overs vs. just the springs for proper handling. Dampening adjustments is mostly gimmick IMHO as once you find the setting you want, you seldom (if ever) adjust it.
  9. You bet....been on my turbos for many years now...no problemo...and apparently your smoke was due to oil (as I suspected).
  10. You should let the turbos cool 1-2 minutes before shutting down (not 3-5)...this is just good practice as when you shut down the oil stops flowing (and this is the primary coolant for the turbos). This can not be replaced with "mellow" driving near the end of your ride.
  11. It is dry here most of the time and I don't look at my pipes either, but that is not what the OP indicated. He said "there's a lot of smoke. It stays that way for about 4 mins or so"...That even I would have noticed...LOL
  12. Thanks for the detailed explanation. Strange how this has never happened to mine in 8 years with temps <30º.
  13. I need help with your explanation...First the engine is cold, what vapor is produced? AFAIK water vapor is the diffusion of water molecules into surrounding gas(air). If it is due to evaporation, then there needs to be a temperature differential. Assuming the car has been sitting and reached equilibrium with the environmental conditions, I do not see this happening. Outside air temp between 35-50º F is not that cold? It seems much more likely there is some remnant oil left in the cylinders?
  14. Make sure you know what color the smoke is: White smoke: White smoke is caused by water and or antifreeze entering the cylinder, and the engine trying to burn it with the fuel. The white smoke is steam. Blue Smoke: Blue smoke is caused by engine oil entering the cylinder area and being burned along with the fuel air mixture. Black Smoke: Black smoke is caused by excess fuel that has entered the cylinder area and cannot be burned completely.
  15. There are several flashes available which would be better than the GT2 map and get you significantly more power.
  16. Not sure hat you mean by update the system....you are running PCM2 firmware version 3? Do you mean software version? Just put the map into the CD slot and off you go. I have read where you should have the car running when you first load the CD (mine did not need any updating).
  17. The purpose of the suggestion to look at PSS9 was not that it is the same suspension, but that it does have installation instructions for suspension systems. I figured you could use those to help you with the install. If not, then follow phillip's advice.
  18. Yes fuse for the amp not in the fuse box
  19. For your 2003, there is a fuse at the amp under the front bonnet.
  20. JP...I've actually not been posting much for the last year...but thanks anyway!
  21. The 2005 uses MOST, co the becker cable doesn't help. I use the Dension Gateway 500 for iPod, whether it will work with BT phone depends on whether your car is equipped with the phone buttons. The disk is CD as stated above and just goes right in the cd drive in the dash.
  22. Try this first. Teaching lifting/sliding roof drive 1. With the ignition switched on, press the lift button and move the lifting/sliding roof drive to the "raised" limit position. 2. Press lift button again and keep depressed. After around 10 seconds, a complete cycle takes place from the raised limit position to the positions "lower open close". Teaching of the characteristics has been completed after this process. Note: The lift button must not be released during the entire process. In the event of a restart, the lifting/sliding roof must always be moved to the limit position first. 3. If the lifting/sliding roof drive should move back in Item 1, then the closing force limitation function has responded (lifting/sliding force drive was taught). The open button must be re−taught in this case. Teaching lifting/sliding roof drive 1 Press the open button until the sliding roof stops. Then release the button. Press the open button again until the lifting/sliding roof drive stops again. Then release the button. 2 Press the open button again and keep depressed. The entire process takes place after approx. 10 seconds: "close − lift − lower − open − close".
  23. Congrats on going the turbo class. Car looks awesome.
