  1. looks like the lloyd aftermarket mat clip to me.
  2. i've done the same mods plus exhaust with the help of walkthroughs found on this forum. i have yet to find such an invaluable auto resource, regardless of brand.
  3. 2001 cab. battery is dead and it wont jump through the lighter. i removed the front passenger side wheel liner and am stumped as to what im looking for and where. any advice is greatly appreciated.
  4. Haven't heard nothing about VF and maybe they are good but, I would go with someone who's been S/C Porsche for a long time and is trusted in the Porsche community. For about the same price you can have these guys install a kit in your car. I plan on have my car S/C by these guys when warranty runs out. Evolution Motorsports - EVO an evo kit IS vf.
  5. id suggest powder coating instead of painting. i had a set of bbs ch wheels painted in the same color you are considering for my audi s4 and they lasted 2 months before looking like sh*t. could have been the shops methods, but there is no doubt that powder coating is far more resistant to damage.
  6. dont have an answer for you, but i have the very same question.
  7. it was 350k. i dropped image quality with p-shop and reloaded. fixed. thanks.
  8. dont know if its on my end? cant get images to fully upload to my garage. linking pics from my fotki account - not using the renntech hosting.
  9. Just in case you don't know the signficant (to me) difference between cutting the speed wire and installing the Smart Top from Wilhelmy: After cutting the wire, just as before, you will have to press and hold the cab switch until the top cycle is complete, up or down. Sometimes, a tricky thing to do while paying attention to your driving and/or changing gears. With the SmartTop (among its other advantages), a momentary press of the cab switch activates the cycle, and it continues .... on its own .... until complete. Then, if you wish, the rear quarter windows will function normally, as opposed to being locked down. Add in the Remote Top device, and you can do it all with the remote lock button on your key. No financial interest in the company .... I'm just a very satisfied customer. Kim 2000 Black Cab i wish. i got the smart top in the rennlist group buy (2001 c2 cab) and mine DOES NOT operate with one touch.
  10. mine dies after a week or so and its getting irritating. i did some searching and found this today: griot's worth a try at $70.00
  11. i was concerned when i first drove the car. checked for leaks and found nothing. for what its worth, i took a new 997 cab out last week and it smelled the same after 20 minutes.
