  4. Well..its in the shop as i type and the TRANNY MOUNT is gone.. simple fix thank God. Apparently not that common of a problem on the tiptronics. Manuals are more prone to breakage. Both rubber insulators where completely gone. He has never seen one so bad.
  5. Mine just starting making the noise also. Very loud in 1st gear from a dead stop. Not as bad in 2nd. Its going to the shop this week and i will let you know what my problem is also. My first guess was a mount, 2nd was a CV joint.
  6. Crap.. Thats almost worth a divorce. I just got engaged today and told her that i will not be picking up any new toys in the near future. Beautiful car ..congrats!
  7. If your cams are wearing to that extent, i think there would be metal debris somewhere in the oil. Whats your oil pressure like ?
  8. Just hit 159,000k on my 2002 C4S (with Tiptronic).. Still runs perfect, never changed anything motor related except the ignition coils. I get an occasional puff of white smoke after starting it, but it only happens maybe once a week..weird... I run it hard and dont baby it. cheers.
  9. Hello folks.. I am the new guy here. I have 143,000km on my 2002 C4S without any major problems.. Is there anything to extend the life of the motor( RMS and Int shaft in particular) that I could do , other than regular service?. Maybe a thick oil other than 0W40 ? Thanks!!
