  1. Hi, Can anyone help me decode the following European Cayenne VIN: WP1ZZZ92ZBLA36310 I need all the options of this car. Not only the basic decoding. I tried buying this service from Suncoast Porsche but failed as they only support PayPall as a payment method. They don't accept credit card payments. Is there any other company that provides this service online? Thanks, Oktay
  2. Be careful with led lights. I've purchased Porche OEM Led Kit from Suncoast Parts and replaced all light bulbs on my car. Everything was working fine until my battery died just after 2 weeks. I replaced it with a new one but the same problem occured again. Finally I had my car examined by an authorized Porsche service center who told me that the new led lights were causing the problem. At the end I replaced all the led lights with the original analog lights and the battery issue is gone. The foreman at the service told me that some of the lights remained on after the car was locked. Suncoast is no longer selling the Porsche Cayenne led replacement kit. FYI. Oktay
  3. Hi, My Cayenne's battery was dead and I decided to replace it with a new one (For more details you can check my previous topic: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/42550-my-cayenne-is-dead/) Unfortunatelly even my new battery was being totally discharged in 3-4 days. Therfore I decided to take it to the Porsche Authorised Service Center for an electric leak control. They've called me after 2 weeks and told me that the Interior led kit that I've purchased from Suncoast Parts (PKLED955 LIGHT KIT) was causing an electric leak. They said that since they don't see this part on their Porcshe spare parts inventory they had to replace all the led lights with porsche's oem bulbs. Afterwards they've checked to see that there was no more electrical leak on the vehicle. They've also said that they've successfully started the vehicle after having it parked for 10 days. I just checked the suncoast.com and saw that they don't sell this part anymore. I really feel stupid for replacing my battery for nothing  Please reconsider my post before purchasing a PKLED955 Cayenne Led Conversion Kit. Regards, Oktay
  4. It took me 2 hours to replace the retaining frame. There are a lot of cables and parts attached to it... This is the photo of the latch that was broken: These are some additional photos... Everything is working fine.
  5. My car's sunglass holder latch is also broken and today I've just received my ordered part below from Suncoast. 955-555-557-01-5Z1 RETAINING FRA $70.96 I am plannig to install it tomorrow or on sunday. I would also recommend the interior led kit I bought for Cayenne which is also available from Suncoast. The installation was easy and I did it myself. http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PKLED955.html?Category_Code=9552Elec2009 'Cap with symbol' are the light switch buttons on the retaining frame that are sold separately. You need them if they are melted. Yo may want to get a quote from suncoast for the part numbers you posted. Cheers.
  6. That's true it is the only way to switch the AC off. My friend has the same car and he does not have this problem. He gets the same air temp. as the outside. By the way here 1 gallon of gasoline is 10 USD. I pay 260 USD to fill my tank and can do only 500km inside the city. That's actually why I preffer the econ mode when the weather is cold :) I mean why use AC and spend more gasoline...
  7. Yes I am sure. But I need to remove the spare tyre and unscrew the Bose subwoofer again to take its picture. I am pasting a picture of a similar battery. It was almost the same one. I beleive it belongs to BOSE sound system and that's why I haven't replaced it.
  8. Thanks but I don't have a scan tool. It looks like my only option is to take the car again to the service and have them check the temp sensors.
  9. It's welded shut and the electrician told me that it cannot be open or fixed. I don't want to contact Suncoast as it woulde more expensive to send it back to then and again back to me afterwards since I'm not in US. I've just found the following product and contacted them for more info: http://www.elwirepros.com/super-4039-to-6039-.html I'm planing to order two of these and test. Regards, Oktay
  10. Hi I've purchased and installed the illuminated door entry guards from Suncoast Porsche. It worked well for 6 months but after that the one at the driver side ceased working. I had it checked to an electrician and he told me that the inverter is dead and that I should replace it with a new one. I cannot find this inverter nowhere :( I also don't know it's specfications. I know it gets 12V input but I don't know to what does it convert. Does anyone know where I could find one? Thanks, Oktay
  11. My Cayenne is blowing hot air when I switch of the AC and use the Econ mode. For example even though the outside temp is 17 degrees C (63 F) and the interior temp settigs is set to same or even Lo it blows around 26 degrees (79F) hot air. If I switch on AC everything works fine. It looks like the engine is heating the air all the time. I took my car to the official service 3 months ago and they've replaced cabin filter and checked for error codes but at the end they've told me that eveything is in order. But unfortunatelly it's not as I have to switch on the AC or use the Auto mode all the time. I wonder is there anything I could check about this annoying issue. Thanks, Oktay
  12. I've replaced my Cayenne's battery today. The original battery was 12V 95Ah Austrian Banner but I replaced it with 12V 100Ah German Varta. By the way my car has a single battery and a very small one inside the BOSE subwoofer below the spare tire. I haven't replaced the second.
  13. Thanks Clarkson. I know it's the C-tek product however Amazon does not ship internationaly while Suncoast does. Also since I've buying a lot of parts from Suncoast I decided to order it from there. By the way I have just connected a charger to the hooks at engine compartment. The interior lights turned on immediately and the key remote started working. I'll wait for 4 hours for the battery to get fully charged and then test the car. Regards, Oktay
  14. Yes I know about them. I waiting an answer from suncoastparts regarding the charger with the european plug and clamps. Once I get it I will first try to charge it through cigarette lighter first and if it doesnt work I will try to charge it from the engine compartments hooks. Thanks.
  15. In that case I would need to remove the battery from below the driver's seat. I hope I could move the seat backwards somehow with no electricity. Thanks...
  16. Thanks JFP. I'm planing buy the Porsche Dual-Mode Battery Charger but I wonder will it help charging a completely discharged battery. Regards, Oktay
  17. Hi, I haven't used used my Cayenne (V6 MY2009) for 2 months. The key wont open the doors remotely and I had to open the driver side door manualy. This alarm did not work as well as any other electircal device on the car. Once I've try to start the car the key stucked and had to removed it by pressing the small buttob with a screwdriver by the keyhole. It looks like the battery is dead but I just don't understand why did this happen? Is it normal to experience this if you dont use your Cayenne for 2 months? I would appreciate any suggestions or comments to troubleshoot further or have my car running. I just cannot take it to service as it is parked on the basement parking of my appartment. Many Thanks, Oktay
  18. I had the same issue of air suspension faulty message being displayed while driving and it was being gone after I stop the car. I had it repaired by an authorised Porsche service this week. They told me that the pressure sensing cables where lose on front tyres and that the cars elevation was not even. The right side was a bit more elevated then the left. So they fixed this by recalibrating the air suspension and the error is gone. FYI.
  19. Thanks SA321. I'll give them a call before my next visit to US. I really need the IPOD kit. Cheers, Oktay
  20. You are right. That's what I suspect too but under these circumstances I just don't know what to do. I asked the guy at the authorised service "How about if the authorised dealer from the country where I purchased the part gets the activation code for me?" He told me that when they install a new PCM 3.0 module it needs to be activated by a PIWIS device. Every PIWIS device generates a different activation code that needs to be sent to Germany along with the car's VIN code. In turn the Germany would send the correct activation code. If the Porsche Germany sees that this part is purchased from a different country then they will not send the activation code. That's why this is impossible. He said that the only way would be if I took my car abroad and have it installed there with the PIWIS device of that dealer.
  21. Today I've learned that Porsche A.G. Germany has started a new regulation regarding the spare parts. According to this new regulation only parts purchased from Porsche dealers in country from where your car is purchased are allowed to be activated by obtaining a code from Germany. They said that this decidion was mainly made to somehow stop people selling stolen car the parts to other countries. I must say I am very disapointed as I was planing to buy an Ipod kit and few other parts from US on my next visit :( FYI, Oktay
