  1. @nerdtalker regarding your post there is onother opinion out there. Once i have been adviced by a mechanic in a different way. you dont want to see a waterpump with metal impellers going to fail. If the bearing of your pump is going bad the entire assembly will get out of balance and the metal impellers touch the engine housing and can cause a major damage. So i dont know whats the better way. I replaced mine with a plastic impeller pump.
  2. Something is wrong with my purge valve. I replaced the part long time ago because i had failure codes. After replacement the code disappeared and never came back. On top i change the wiring incl. the connector because it was really briggle. But this part is making noises. Ticking. Sounds like a valve is opening/ closing nonstop.
  3. Today i changed the DV Valve on the passenger side. Hoping to find the reason for my overboost code and the whistle noise. But... the DV i replaced was ok. So need to continue to search. the replacement is easy. Only problem for me was opening the clamps. Didnt have the right tools.
  4. Usually i am posting in the Cayenne Forum but i thought this story i should bring to you. news from the media today. In Belgium a 79 !!! years old women was catched in a speed control on the highway. 238 km/h with her Boxter GTS. Her comment at the police station: " i cant sleep at night so i decided to race a little bit: :-)
  5. @rik881 found onother discussion. the shifting is not that bad with my Turbo . Just to be prepared. Good to know this fix works. Thank you
  6. @rik881 could you please share some additional info on your installation of the transgo kit please?! what this item actually doing and how hard it would be to install? thank you very much.
  7. Ok i got it. As i mentioned up there some reports here from non working valves which having the same effect like you describe. the part is only 12 eur. Dont know how difficult to change
  8. Semi professional search in our german forums. People complaining about a non working AC not enough gas..... which you dont have cracked or damaged pressure hoses. Specially there must be some tubes close to the body of the car. Problems with the seals / sealings pronblems with the dryer problems with the valves. Instead of regulating the flow they closed. sorry that i cant help
  9. Sorry Lewis that there is again some additional problem. Please explain. From your report i understand you changed the expansion valves right? But why the valves in your pics are looking that different from what i found?
  10. Just a hint because happens with me in a similar way. Extreme temperatures making the wires in the car very soft and after almost 12 years some look very briggle like in my car. I would recommend to check the wire system inside the fuse box in engine compartment and everything inside the engine bay. Briggle wiring and very hot temps: the wiring which is maybe without proper isolation is getting very very soft and touching any ground or something else. Just an idea.
  11. I thought this would help you but I am mistaken. Don't know how to delete the video. Sorry!
  12. @bigbuzuki , coming back to your comment. Is the original battery really so much better and worth the money it cost?
  13. If the problem is the micro switch, how to get to, how to replace? Any advise is welcome.
  14. There is a problem with my front hood switch / contact. The light is not working if you open the hood On the display is no warning if the car is driving and the hood isn't closed. The low oil warning light does not disappear if oil level is checked. This is in some way connected with the hood switch too. Maybe somebody can route me to the right point. It's the closing mechanism itself or something else. Thank you.
  15. @wizard thank you for your advice. Are you from germany because you refer to this web page?
  16. Please maybe somebody can advise which tool necessary to open the fill plug. Its the tool on my picture?
  17. Fuel pump issue. Yesterday just for fun i changed the pump relays from my S to the CTTS. Surprise: when i am now opening the driver side door: suuummm suuuuuum. Looks like it was not the pump failing . Just the relay
