  1. I'd be interested in hearing about aftermarket tpms sensors as well. I have a 2005 S
  2. An update to this:- after some troubleshooting it looks like the phone module is causing the random restarts. I took the sim card out and the problem goes away. As soon as I put the sim card back in the random restarts happen. At the time the system restarts it looks like the phone is trying to do something like initialise. Once the system is working phone calls can be made and received fine - till it restarts again. Anyone seen this particular issue?
  3. Would a loose MOST connection give errors on the screen rather than restart the whole system?
  4. Hi, The PCM (2.1) on our 2005 Cayenne S keeps restarting whilst driving. This happens when playing a CD or listening to the radio, and I noticed that sometimes when it restarts the trip computer goes to zero as well. I tried the reset code (keys 148) but that doesn't really do anything to fix it. What is the best way to troubleshoot what is wrong with it? Thanks
  5. Thanks. Does this adjustment also work for the xenon lights? I think I have the auto levelling ones Upon doing some more research, apparently there is an 'auto levelling sensor' at the rear of the car that could go faulty and not point the headlights correctly. Anyone have any more information on this sensor and how to troubleshoot it? Any schematics or diagrams would be most helpful. Cheers
  6. For a while now i've thought our Cayenne's main headlights were too high, and today when I was travelling in a car in front of the Cayenne at night I realised they actually are too high. We have the xenons (litronic?) lights and I think they are meant to be auto levelling. When the car starts the headlights point and down go back up, but they don't change from the up position, and i'm wondering whether the 'levelling sensor' might be at fault? We don't get any warning lights on the dash or anything like that. Is there anything I can do myself to diagnose what it might be? I've also noticed some covers under the hood which have a picture of lights on them, which i'm assuming might be some sort of adjustment? Thanks
  7. I have the same issue on mine - going to change the actuator soon (ordered it today). I still haven't quite figured out how to get the boot right interior panel out (the one around the CD changer)
  8. Hi, Does anyone have the following manual available? Workshop Manual ‘443219’ Removing and installing wheel electronics Thanks
  9. I don't have access to a durametric, although I should invest in one. Are there any other symptoms for the fuel pump going?
  10. A bit of a weird issue my wife has told me about, so my information may not be totally accurate! A few times whilst accelerating and turning (such as turning in the road or coming out of a parking space) the engine has cut out and the car has required to be restarted. Once restarted it runs fine with no issues, but it's happened a few too many times for it to be something random. The car is a Cayenne S with TipTronic. Anyone had any similar issues?
  11. Hi, My cayenne doesn't have these, and i'm wondering if it's an easy retrofit item that I could install myself. Anyone done this, or have the part numbers/diagrams? Cheers
  12. I'd like some advice on when to top up oil and how frequently to check it. My oil level is a couple of mm below max on the stick and i'm wondering whether I should top it up? Thanks
  13. I did a little experiment today and set all my tyres to 40psi (fronts were 35/36 and back were already 40). I reset the trip computer and it went up to 14-15mpg UK around town - admittedly the engine was already warm. Near our house it went down to 13.5 as it's quite hilly so that is probably another reason why it gets lower. I'm fine with those figures if it's normal, as long as there doesn't seem to be anything going wrong with the vehicle! Is it ok to leave tyres at 40psi?
  14. I have Contiental Wrangler F1's on my 20" wheels - they're pretty good
  15. Sorry, I should have made that clearer. It's a 2005 4.5 S tiptronic The mpg's you guys have quoted of 15 and 17-18 - is that US or UK?
