  1. I had the same fueling shutoff problem. I invert the gas pump nozzle now and can fill normally. Yup, upside down. The hose has a swivel so it works fine.
  2. The engine number is under the car a bit off center towards the passenger side. It is stamped into the casting.
  3. I am working on my boat too. Don't let this happen to you: I lent my first sports car to my sister. She called an hour later complaining that she used the brakes and the car jumped a lane. Since you are a Bostonite, this happened on Rt 16 in Watertown. The tie rod end ball joint had popped out. When the brakes were applied the wheel turned sideways taking the car into the next lane. Could have been very ugly.
  4. Go for 6.5's, they fit the Nokia door boxes with very little modification. I made the mods about a month ago and it took me about 20 minutes shop time to fit and epoxy the new speakers in. Just make sure the new speakers are not too deep. I went with coaxial Polks. I believe the Haes stock amp (if that is what you have) only sends lows to the doors but since I am swapping the amp I wanted full range door speakers.
