  1. I have an '08 Boxster S with 19" wheels. I check my tire pressure with a gage every copule of weeks. I have noticed that the tire pressure on the gage is always higher than what the TPMS reads. I was concerned about this so I looked it up in the manual. The manual points out that the recommended pressures are for cold tires at 68F and that tire pressure changes with temperature. It then goes on to say that the TPMS takes into account the relationship between temperature and pressure. So does the TPMS tell you what the pressure in the tires would be if the temperature were 68F? When it's 98F outside I don't care what the pressure would be if it were 68F, I care what the pressure is now. I fill my rear tires to the recommended 36psi based on todays conditions. Am I looking at this wrong?
  2. Thank for the reply. This is my first high performance car. I know there are some quirks but I was a little nervous. The Porsche dealership changed the oil as part of the certification. I'll have to check and see what brand they used and get a quart today.
  3. I recently purchased a 2008 Boxster S with 62000mi on it. It is a CPO I bought in NC so it passed the dealership's inspection. I live in Augusta GA and the nearest dealership is about an hour away making service a little bit of a pain. I have driven about 3500 miles and my oil level has gone from the center line to the low line. According to the manual I need to add about 0.4 liters to get it back to the center line. I do smell burning oil after I drive the car. It is not strong but it's there. There are no oil spots under the car in my garage. Is this normal or do I need to consider a service visit?
  4. Metra 40-EU30 is a package of 2 antenna adapters that fit the PCM2.1 with or without BOSE
  5. I have a 2008 Boxster S with PCM2.1 and Bose. I have ordered an isimple bluetooth adapter that has an FM antenna bypass. I know I need adapters for the antenna but I don't know which ones. I've searched all over google but all I can find are adapters for 2004 and older Boxsters. I don't know if the antenna is amplified or not and I don't know what type of plug the Bose unit uses. Does anyone know what I need to buy?
