  1. Nice looking kit, can you share the item number or more details on where you purchased the test kit from? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  2. Hi, Porsche service intervals are based on either fixed mileage or two yearly period. Check your handbook for the service chart and then your mileage and service book stamps. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  3. Thanx for the confirmation, would you have the test procedure for the battery change over relay or anything else for cars fitted with the additional battery? Thanx if you can help.
  4. I hadn't trouble shot this problem yet, but I did make a modification to the system by installing a dual battery solar charger! Using a 60w solar panel. The system has a display that now showed both battery voltages, which help to identify possible other issues. As the battery under driver's seat never seems to charge above 12.6v and the rear trunk battery at 13.2v. When the engine is running the voltages of both show 13.8v I'm leaning towards the battery change over relay or fuses issue and possibly something that is making a heavy demand on battery power when the car is parked........ 5. Hi bigbazuki, just reading your reply again, so are you saying that if using the plastic key the car will start using the under driver seat battery. But using the metal key it would use the starter battery situated in the trunk? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  6. Just as an update on my rear park assist issues and the eventual fix. I removed the right rear inside trim to get to the module, it's Weir involved but do able just needs time and patients then I started trouble shooting following the workshop manual. I had 4.8 voltage going out to the sensor harness connector but the rear park assist never worked. I had previously purchased all new sensors but they made no difference. I was thinking the fault was going to be that module but it just didn't add up in my mind as there was power to the sensors. So I paid more attention to the rear bumper harness and connectors. Sure enough I found that the main connector wasn't making a good contact with the bumper harness. I cleaned and scrapped the plug pins and a bit of WD 40 did the trick. I also used a small zip tie to firmly hold the plugs together. Now all working! My original fault was that in reverse only the outer red lights on the rear PA display would light and stray on. It means there is a fault. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  7. I don't think you could have searched very hard, here you go: http://www.dension.com/automotive/products/car-multimedia-solutions/gateway-500s-bt Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  8. Why not plug-in a cigarette reverse lead and a small 12v battery to keep the system powered? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. Hi again Loren, Did you have any time to look at the wiring diagram for me? Thank you if you can. Best regards Chris.
  10. Thanx for that tip, however I do not have the plastic key and always use the fob and metal key Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  11. Thanx Loren, my car is Cayenne turbo S. 2006 it is a European left hand drive from Germany. I note at the bottom of the charging system description that you kindly provided above, that it states the 12v sockets are controlled be the vehicle electronic control unit..... So I'm not sure if it is permissible to reverse charge through those sockets as the solar charge would have to pass through the controller as well..... If you have the wiring diagram for the sockets it would be most appreciated if you could check/share with me. Thank you once again. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  12. Thanx Loren! Can you help with some further information regarding the rear power sockets. Are they connected to the main battery or the starter battery (in wheel well)? The reason I ask is that my solar charger controller can maintain two batteries independently. So I need to have a connection to the main battery (under driver's seat) and a separate connection to the starter battery in the trunk. As I'm going to mount and wire the controller in the trunk it will be easy to run a dedicated cable to the starter battery. I'm hoping that the 12v power socket in the trunk can give me the access to the main battery to reduce running another cable through to the driver's seat area....what do you think? 13. Update: Well I got another low battery warning from my tracker after 3.5 months parked up overseas. I went to collect the car and had to use my jump starter pack. I checked the Porsche charging wiring diagram and see the starter batter is the one in the trunk. I would really like to better understand the principal of the two batteries and why after long periods the low battery and can't start without jumper........ I have ordered a 50w solar panel, battery conditioner controller and remote display as I'm planning to install this to trickle charge both batteries and then can forget my flat battery issues (hopefully). But I still don't understand how the car won't start even if the main battery is depleted by my tracker system and general electrical discharge. Does the system switch from the main battery to the starter battery once the main battery is flat and that's why I end up not being able to start the car? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  14. My Cayenne Turbo S also burns 1litre or 1000kms. This is normal as per advise from Porsche garage and other users around Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  15. Did you have steering wheel multi function controls and do they still work with the after market unit? My 2006 CTTS has an OEM AUX socket under the center arm rest. I used an extension audio cable run back to the dashboard and then plug in a Bluetooth head set (called a i-Tech R35 Clip) to the aux cable. The clip has the microphone and is mounted just to the right side of the steering wheel on the dash. Then my phone connects to the Clip and I can stream it track calls through Chanel 0 of the radio (which is the AUX station). It's not seamless, but a cheap workable option. If the after market unit comes with the CAN BUS interface to allow multi function controls to still work then that could be a way to go. Mine R35 is an old model but I just did a search on eBay and found this newer model that is the same. Item number: 222405835357 any similar Bluetooth device that allows the head set to plug in to it should work. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  16. Hi Skalex, no I have not played any more with it to test if the model is the problem. I have been away from the car for a few months so no chance to test it further. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  17. I don't think they are electric handbrake. It's a cable on my 2006 TTC Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  18. Take off the rear wheels and remove the calipers and discs. You will possibly find the hand brake shoes and disc drums are needing to be replaced. My brake shoes were badly scored and the dics were very badly corroded, that's why I had to replaced the discs. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  19. What do you mean unlock it? I have the auxiliary heater and never seen it locked.......unless you mean the rear controls for it are locked? In that case it was locked by pressing the electric window lock button in the driver's door controls. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  20. Thanx for that, removing the rear trim looks horrendous but a necessity to gain access. I will locate a replacement control unit first before going any further. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  21. I replaced all rear bumper sensors but still the same problems.when put in to reverse the two red segments light and a 3 second solid tone is emitted. Then tone stops and red lights stay on. Front system working ok. Does anyone have any other suggestions.....where is the rear park assist control module located and is it likely to be the fault or worrying around the rear Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  22. Are you sure you got the engine timing spot on? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  23. Use lots of penetration spray such as WD40 around the pistons, then use a G clamp to secure the free moving pistons . Or wedge them with a piece of wood. Then have someone inside the car press the brake pedal and try to pump out the piston against another piece of wood. Keep working the piston until it's free moving again. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  24. Zakowsky, Where do you have the option to change units on your PCM? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  25. I'm in the UK but also drive it a lot over in Europe on long runs of 800-900 miles. Around home I'm getting around 18.7 mpg (UK) gallons. On the run I might see around 23.8 mpg (UK) from my 2006 CTT. Doesn't CTT= Cayenne Twin Turbo? Looking at your screen shot remind me of another question, does anyone know how to change the KM or MPH display on the PCM maps display? My car is originally from Germany so LHD and in KMs. I changed the dashboard display when in UK to MPH via the main dash computer but it didn't change the PCM navigation or trip computer figures.
