I have a 2007 C2S manual with about 132K on the odometer. A low oil pressure light has started to show up at idle after the car is warmed up. It seems as if the light is gradually coming on more frequently. The pressure gage on the dash reads around 0.5 bar when the light comes on. When the car is cold the starting pressure is around five bar and is about 3 bar at 3000rpm. As it warms up the pressure drops to about 2 bar at 3000rpm. I always run 0-40W Mobil 1 and change the oil every 5K miles. With the engine off and turning the key one click the pressure gage rises to about 0.1-0.2 bar. Can anyone help me diagnose this issue? Would be a sensor or something mechanical?
2007 Carrera 4S with 32k miles. Normally, the clutch grabs ("grabs=friction point") at about halfway from the floor. Just the other day, for the first time, the clutch grabbed only about 2 inches from the floor and it's very difficult to shift into 1st and reverse from a stop. It's been doing this ever since. I have searched the forums for a similar issue and it sounds like the clutch. However, I can't seem to find anyone who's clutch grabs so low.......the clutch engages almost immediately when you start to release your foot off the clutch pedal. Anybody else have this issue? Air in the line? Slave cylinder?
Hello, I have some worries about my Porsche 994 C4. I have had the engine replaced last year because of a cracked cylinder, since then the car has been a pleasure to drive. I recently noticed the oil pressure, when fully warmed up fully, has been dropping to about .2 - .3 BAR. The car makes no strange noises, and the warning light never comes on. After a recent oil change at the dealership, I was told there was nothing to worry about, but I think that there still is. I read it is never supposed to be that low. I changed the pressure relief spring, nothing changed. I changed the pressure sender, nothing changed. I'm very stuck on what to do. Tomorrow I will hopefully check with a mechanical gauge. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me. Maybe if anyone has encountered similar problems. I'm worried it is something bad. Could it be a bad gauge perhaps? I'm curious how the pressure can drop so low, with no warning light. Any suggestions would really help, this car has been quite the handful so far.
