The new OEM pad shims came with adhesive paper on the side of the shims that stays in contact with the pad backplate. I installed the shims with the paper on, because I did not read the tutorial of Loren carefully enough. But on the right wheel, while slipping one of the pad in, the paper came off anyway because the clearance for the pad was very small. As a result, on the right wheel now I have one pad shim with paper and one pad shim without paper. Can this be considered acceptable even if it is not to spec.? Thanks
Hello, I have genuine Porsche front Brake pads installed on my Cayenne, the warning light to replace them just appear while I only drove 28K kilometer, is this normal? is there a better quality that last longer?
Please let me know if you have had any experience with VTX pads from Vertex Performance. I bought the Driveshaft fix from them and so am now getting sale ads for these pads among other things. Sale ends tomorrow so please respond as sooon as you can! Tim in Ft Worth
Hi, I need to change the rear pads on my 2004 2.7 The question is do I pay for Original Porsche parts or go with an alternative? If I go with an alternative, which ones? I am just a standard diver, no track days. Just everyday use. Thanks for the help.
