Cayenne Turbo Cluster upgrade

Recommended Posts

I have a Turbo cluster that I was going to put into a Cayenne S. I tested it out but it is displaying a few fault codes because it is looking for options that I dont have. Is there a way to flash a cluster? Can it be reporgrammed for my car?

Yes. Some coding maybe required.

The cluster coding designates:

VIN

Navigation

Country Code

Language

Service Interval (reset)

Maintenance Interval

As well, mileage may need to be set.

I see. But herein lies the problem: I do not have air suspension in my 03' Cayene S. The cluster is searching for the AirRide suspension and is displaying the fault code 'Warning Air Suspension' which disables the menus on the cluster. IS there a way to program the clsuter not too look for the feature? Is so, do I have to have a dealer code it or send it out to Porsche? All help thus far has been greatly appreciated.

A dealer or any shop with a PST2 or PIWIS tester can code the cluster (and other options) in the car.

Where are you located?

Manhattan area. What do you think would be a reasonable service charge for this type of job? Again thank you for all the wonderful help.

As i think i stated in one of the other forum replies, most of these options, a i have repeatedly asked and trial and error'ed , will not be able to be resolved. So be forwarned! The only was is to install these options, and quite frankly it's not logical unless you have the cash! That or you're crazy like me and install a TPMS sensor because it was driving me nuts hahah! ;-)

I am having this same problem trying to clear the " WARNING AIR SUSPENSION " If anyone has resolved thie please post how or PM me......I dont care about the comfort group graphics I need to clear the air suspension warning to see ANYTHING except for mileage, time, temp , mileage and the porsche splash screen. I even visited my dealer today with the new turbo cluster installed to try and get that warning cleared with PIWIS computer...no luck. PLEASE ADVISE....has anyone out there overcome this issue>?

The main reason of a failed Cayenne cluster mod is the difference between MY04< (cluster with build-in gateway) and >MY05 (cluster with gateway apart, build under the dash). The clusters are not interchangeable without problems as mentioned in some posts.
