Wheel Spacers?

Recommended Posts

ralphe boothe has some boothedesign.com , porsche also sells 5mm and 17mm spacers for the 996 for a choice of 5mm all around or 5 front and 17 rear carnewal.com. also H&R makes some performanceproducts.com. I imagine all the hubcentric ones are ok. I am not sure if people use the same setup as for the boxster but I think 5-7 front and 15-17 rear looks good on a 996 with 18in factory wheels. I guess the boxster uses 9 in wide wheels on the rear instead of 10 right?

You can buy a kit that has all the parts for 4 wheels.

Individual part numbers. Spacer 996 361 605 90. Longer 'set' screws to rotor hub to hold the spacer in place (need 2 per spacer) 900 269 106 09. Longer wheel bolt 996 361 203 90.

My friend Henry has 7mm spacers on all 4 wheels with the original wheel bolts. But if you do that and your wheel with a 5mm spacer comes off do not go looking for me. Pic from Paul.

It is a kit so it should. For 2 wheels. $287.50 suggested retail as of November. With something that wide you have this type and lug nuts like a normal car. One of our guys has it on his rears but I'm too lazy to find the film picture I took last year and scan it. Pic again from Paul.

P.S. I have the 6mm spacers and finally installed the GT3 bolts.

FWIW, ran 10k miles with the standard bolts :drive:

Notice the GT inscription in the bolt.
