Wheel off-set for MK1

Hi Guys!

Does anyone know the off-set for the original gt3 mk1 wheels (front and rear)?

Also does the original wheels of the mk1 use spacers?

When I bought my MK1 it had after market wheels on it, and I plan to put it back to the original look. Just want to make sure I get the right off-set when I buy my new wheels. :)

The mk1 wheels used 5 mm spacers on the RoW GT3 because the brakes are bigger. They are not required for use of the wheels on a 996 Carrera.

The sizes/offsets are --

Front: 18 x 8 offset 52 mm

Rear: 18 x 10 offset 65 mm

The Mk1 GT3 was not sold in the US and Canada -- it was only sold in the Rest of World market (which is everything except US/Canada).

Hi!

I ended up also buying gold BBS LM's for my car. However the size of the front wheels that was delvered to me is 18x8.5 offset 56 (instead of 18x8 off-set 52). I'm assuming its the size for the MK2.

Do you guys think it's ok to use this size in the MK1 considering it's .5 inches wider than the stock tires. With regards to the different off-set, I was thinking of just not installing the front spacers to more or less compensate for the difference in the off-set and the wider tires.

Porsche's 8.5 x 18 wheel has an offset of 40 mm - so you will need to check these to see if they will work.
