986 3.4 conversion

Recommended Posts

I am new to this forum and thought I would pick the minds of those who completed this task. I own a 98 boxster 2.5L 38,000 miles 5 speed manual. Recently installed a GT-2 front aero bumper, GT side skirts, and a GT aero spoiler tail. I also changed out the stock rims to 18" center cup wheels with p-zero tires. I am now thinking of doing a 3.4 conversion and gain the extra horse power. I have been told I need to find a 3.4 engine without the throttle body as a 1999 body works best. Also a center raidator and exhaust modifications.

Has anyone done this conversion. Can you give me advice on how to start this project. I will take any advice I can get. I have been told the results are impressive. Thanks for your time.
