Suspension!

Recommended Posts

I was wondering how long suspension live, I mean overall. After what mileage users usually changing shocks, springs, tire rods, bushings, bearings and etc.?

I know it depends on how you drive it and where!!!

I'm driving '99 Boxster with almost 70K miles and I feel that my suspension is "dying". I feel a little bit of play on my steering wheel, every small single hole in the road feels like a canyon.

My question is what part of suspension did you change at what mileage?

I bought it 5 months ago and I made 10k miles with my Boxi.

Tires - there are about 30% life left and the pressure looks ok. Front wheels need balancing.

Last couple days I noticed that. Since I've got 70k miles I thought it is time to change tie rods, bushings, bearings and shocks.

I think all the above should last at least twice that long on your car. Most of this stuff is easy to check yourself or if you know an HONEST mechanic who can check it for you. As tires age and wear they usually become noisy. Get them balanced and have the alignment checked out.
