01TT versus 02TT

Recommended Posts

Greetings from Tokyo!

I am considering to get my first Porsche, and I am looking mainly at 01-02 TT. I notice that there is a substantial price difference (larger than the diff between 02 and 03) between 01 and 02 TT even when they are of about the same mileage. Would that be because 02 is dramatically improved over 01 or there are some problems with 01?

01 fits more into my budget but if 02 is much improved, it probably would be worthwhile to spend that extra money!

Thanks.

Ron

:welcome:

MY02 added/changed the following:

Glove box added

New style cup holders

Seat belt tensioners with belt-force limiters

Seat and mirror memory via remote control

New sound and radio package (BOSE)

A (slightly newer) PCM1 Navigation system

All engine, transmission, suspension and brakes are the same from MY01 to MY02.

Thanks very much Loren for the info! In that case, I probably would go for the 01TT.

Any common problems that I should keep in mind when I take it to the dealer for a check up?

Thank you!

Ron
