04 Cayenne Turbo Troubles

Recommended Posts

Ive been having a recurring problem on my cayenne turbo, when i press the brakes and stop the RPM drops as soon as i stop and then goes back up, also when on low revs on the 5th and 6th gear the engine shudders and only gets back to normal when i give it more gas. any hints on whats exactly causing this to happen?

Have your dealer replace the ignition coils and plugs. The 1st generation versions are known to crack early on. Mine cracked at about 11,000 miles. We discovered on the Dyno that my 04 turbo was not making the hp it was supposed to be making. After the coils and plugs were replaced, I got all my horsepower back!

They have replaced the ignition coils and spark plugs twice already during the life of the car. Some people told me it might be the cam sensors or the fuel pump and i told them to check them both.

DME has been updated to latest software and they will verfy that as well today.

Will let you guys know what happens when i get the car back next week.

THanks :) :renntech:

Car unfortunately still has the same problem. The last time i took it in they didnt solve the problem. ive been driving it since then and it just keeps on happening. They changed all 8 coils and still its the same. My car is going in for 60,000 kms major service in about 6000 kms, ill make sure that they dont give it back to me till this problem is solved. Im also renewing my warranty for another year.
