abs warning light

Recommended Posts

driving along this evening in heavy rain and my abs light came on. i have swithced the car off and back on again several times, and it still comes on but not instanly. the pump does work when the light doesn't come on when i have applied the brakes hard enough to try out the abs.

any common faults?

chec kbrake fluid first. May be low as you may be approaching the need for a brake job as well. When was last brake service??

I've heard of others having a similar problem with moisture re:rain and ABS lights. seems to be a common ailment. Might suggest blowing the connectors out with air and see if the trouble goes away. If so maybe a bit of silicone grease application to the connectors might be benifical in keeping some of the moisture out.
