Failing trunk-light...

This is a problem on the early cars. There is an electrical switch on the latch. That switch is for the trunk light and alarm. Porsche changed the design some years ago. You use to be able to buy just the switch but I have not looked it up recently.

Get a screwdriver and operate the latch. Lock it and unlock it a bunch of times and see if it works. This may improve the electrical contact of the switch.

I know that feeling too well. Besides, the problem with me is that I only get reminded of this whenever I'm away from home and when it's dark outside... but then tend to forget about it when I finally have time to fix it ;^)
