MAF part #

Recommended Posts

I've checked with both dealers within 100 miles from me. Neither of them has ever done a DME flash or knows of doing one for the updated MAF. Strangely, both say the car needs a different MAF, one says the .124.00 part, the other says the .125.01 part. Also, what was the year/VIN cutoff for the .124.00 vs the .125.00 part number change?

Those dealers need to read their Porsche TSBs. This one is: TSB 1/00 2445 Air Flow Sensor -- dated 4-18-00

Loren,

My maf sensor has the nr. 124.00 at the end. Does this mean that this is the wrong one, and i need the 125.01 and a DME upgrade??? By the way, my car was always running with the 124 and is from 02-2000

If you have a MY2000 Boxster then the TSB applies to your car. You can run the 124 or the 125.01. If you run the 125.01 then the DME needs to have the program changed to match it.
