'02 Bose wiring question

Recommended Posts

I have an '02 996 TT with a Bose setup (Don't believe it's MOST as the system does not look rewired). The previous owner installed a Kenwood deck (KDCX990) and I am changing it out to the Kenwood DNX7100 Navigation unit and I have a couple questions.

1) Does someone have a wiring diagram of the factory wiring for this?

2) On the current wiring for the old Kenwood deck, I see it's connected via the speaker wires. I do not see any amp control wire connected. Does this mean that the system is not using the factory amp?

The wiring diagram should answer my questions, but...does the factory amp turn on automatically and thus no need for the "amp control wire"? Or, would the amp therefore be off, and the wiring to the speakers just going through the amp(with it off) to the speakers? (It's pretty obvious that they did not rewire the car and I see the amp in the trunk).

The only factory wires that I see not currently being used are:

1) Pink/Grey

2) Yellow/Black

Thanks in advance for any help,

Ben

Just in case anyone wants to know...

Looking at the diagram, I see that it looks like the amp is automatically switched on, and it's pretty clear to me that the current setup is using the amp or it wouldn't work without rewiring.
