Hey i'm new here and i have some basic beginner questions...

Do you guys brake boost when racing in a 911 turbo?

Are the twin turbos parallel or sequential?

And do people install boost controllers in 911s? If so what is the max psi you can go on a stock fuel system?

I'm planning to get a 911 turbo in the not-so-distant future and was wondering about this(im def gonna go aftermarket). Thank you for all the help.

Phil: I see you've asked this same question on a number of different forums. My response is the same...use the search function to look up the answers to your questions and do some research to familiarize yourself with the basic issues related to the 911 turbos....then come back and ask the questions you were unable to find answers for....there is a wealth of information in archives....but you may have to join some of the forums (in other words pay for a subscription) before you can get into the archives.

Typically no. Of course you find differences, but usually folks will modify the tune and turbos to get quicker spoiling

Yes some use a boost controller (e.g., greedy)....mostly those doing this are interested in drag racing. Max boost is a function of a number of internals including the fuel system. For example, the K16 turbos can handle about ~1.0 boost before they become inefficient. K24s can handle ~1.1-1.2...hybrids have additional capabilities. The ECU will TB shut down around 1.3. Those that are pushing the envelope boosting in excess of 1.3 have done extensive internals modification and are willing to rebuild their engine when it goes BANG.
