Seat Belt Replacement

Recommended Posts

Knowing that 5 point harnesses should be replaced every 5 years, I decided to put new seat belts in my 1998 Boxster 2.5 which I take to DE events. The driver's seatbelt uptake also jams from time to time, which is also aiding my decision. My question is whether I can use the seat belt part for model years 02-, which for some reason is less expensive than for models years -01.

Yes you can but on the 02- model there is a pre-tensioner charge and electrical connector - make sure you block off the connector.

Quite a simple job as long as the main bolt undoes easily.
