Purchasing a third party extended warranty

Recommended Posts

:help:

I purchased my '02 996 in July of last year. Two days after I bought it the engine went. Turns out that the wholesaler that I purchased the car from never bothered to check the oil levels and (stupid me) I didn't either. The engine was replaced under warranty by a local dealer. Everything else has been perfect. I still have two years on the original warranty but I was contemplating purchasing an extended warranty. PCNA does not offer an extended warranty plan unless you purchase it from a dealer. So my question is has anyone else done this and how much should I expect to pay. I'm assuming around $1,500. I live in NJ and the car has 20K miles on it (5K on the new engine).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Call your local Porsche dealership for information.

I'm trying to sell my Boxster S and found some very affordable 4-year extended warranty plans for it.

It's cheaper if you still have a factory warranty on your Pcar.
