Please Help, car wont start....sometimes

:help:

I was wondering if anyone found a fix for this problem (quote below) from Sept 24 2007. I am having the EXACT same problem...only at refueling. Occasional P0446 (carbon cont valve/air vent valve?). I checked all evap lines and all are clear and fuses ok. Could I have a problem with purge valve or shut off valve on the fuel filler neck? I basically put gas in the car, wont start unless you fully depress gas pedal, then runs rough for a few minutes before smoothing back out.

Well, the problem isn't putting gas in the car, but not being able to start the car after it has been filled up. I checked fuse E6 anyway, because there may be a connection if you suggested it. The fuse is there, and intact

Thanks in advance,

That sounds like the problem I had. The shop replaced my vent tube, purge valve and charcoal canister. I've filled the car about 6 times since the last repair without a recurrence of the problem.

Good luck.

Thanks heaps, I will try your recommendation and see what happens. I have fixed numerous problems with my Boxster so if I can be of assistance in the future, just let me know. I also have all of the repair CD's... which i have learned is a must if a Boxster owner.

Thanks! :thankyou:

Where did you get the repair CDs from? Are they ToolPants' DVDs or other CDs?

Thanks!

I got the Porsche Dealer Workshop CD manuals and PET from Ebay. Some guy was selling copies I guess from the originals. Would you like a copy?
