996.106.147.08 coolant tank 98 - on -- US MSRP $282.79

Thanks! I got into the back of the car, saw coolant in the back and soaked in the insulation. I CANNOT FIND A LEAK ANYWHERE! It's driving me crazy! It's obviously leaking from the coolant tank and running down to the front of the right rear tire and puddling on the ground!!

Hello Loren,

Do you happen to know if the 'old 986 coolant level sensor' PN 996 641 503 00 can be installed in the coolant tank PN 996 106 147 08 or does only the 'new 987 coolant level sensor' PN 997 641 503 00 fit in this latest version of the coolant tank? I was told that the opening for the coolant level sensor on coolant level tank PN 996 106 147 08 has a larger diameter and that the original 986 coolant level sensor PN 996 641 503 00 cannot be installed in a brand new coolant tank.

Would appreciate if you could give me some information on this issue.

Thank you in advance and best regards,
