996 Third Brake Light & Spolier Light ?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help shed some light for me. On my wife's 2000 996 C2 Cabrio, I noticed the other morning that when the wing was up, a few (left 1/3) of the lights

on the wing were not on. When I had a chance to look at it, I figured how to remove that light from the wing and popped it apart to find that there are in fact what appear to be replaceable bulbs?

As I was checking them, (I manually depressed the spoiler switch to raise it first) - I started the car and turned the lights on...Neither the third brake light or the spolier light came on at all. I had my

daughter go in and depress the brake pedal.....The two normal brake lights (L&R) illuminate, but nothing from either the third (center) or the spoiler light?....Nothing at all....

Any thoughts of what I should begin checking? They were on that morning with some burnt out, and that evening....nothing at all?

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks!

Donnie
