Looking for Clip Inner Wheel Well

Recommended Posts

I have been back in forth with Jeff at Sunset Imports and Porsche North America and Germany and no one can figure this one out. This clip that I am looking for attaches to the top of a black plastic shield to an aluminum hose approximately 8mm OD (part number cannot be read possibly fuel line). It is located directly behind the front tires (GT3 2004) if you were to remove them. The shield actually has 4 clips, two upper and two lower. The lower pipe is 996.106.615.54 that is using clip number 996.106.414.55. From the parts drawing it is not showing this correctly because they are showing this clip connected to another tube.

The only clip I can find int he fuel lines that looks like that says only 1 is used per car.

The brake lines however seem to use a similar clip and the parts list says "as needed".

Is there some reason this one missing clip worries you?

Reason I ask is that the two black plastic clips on my air cleaner housing that route the MAF wires have broken - three times. After the 3rd replacement I just said why bother they will just break again.

I would like to replace the broken clip because this shield becomes loose and shifts, I would hate for it to come loose catch my wheel and cause an accident during a DE event. If I cannot find the clip I will just drill some holes and attach it via black plastic tie. I attached a picture of the black shield that I am referring to.
