Carrera Cabriolet airbag light on.

Recommended Posts

Tried erasing fault using Durametrics but airbag warning light still on. Fault code came out 8001 module did not initialize, Supply voltage. Checked modules under the passenger seat and it seems ok. Could this be a wiring harness issue? Again my thanks and more power to the people of Renntech!!! Awesome site.

I have also found it better to have the laptop plugged into it's AC adaptor when using Durametric. Some laptops slow right down when just using the internal battery and it might cause a time out issue on the data line.

Loren- Tried it several times, warning light still on.

wvicary- Will try your suggestion sir.

Thanks!!!!

Loogs:

Whenever I've gotten that response on my Durametric, it has always meant that it's the Durametric unit that could not "get through" to the car's ECU. Rebooting, or going to a different diagnostic area and then going back has sometimes cleared it up and allowed the program to work properly.

So, I don't think it has anything to do with the central alarm control unit under the seat of your 911 (or Cayenne?).

Good luck.

Regards, Maurice.
