Clunk under hard acceleration from stop.

Thank you both for your reply. I'm actually looking for someone that has a similar vehicle and has experienced this clunk first-handed. Perhaps they can tell me the cure.

Same Problem for me... 2003 C2 Trip 17,500 miles... Any news on problem resolution. I worry maybe it is an axle ready to fail. I get the noise in first gear or reverse. The tips like to start in 2nd gear, but not enough rear torque to make the noise. It is a hard "tink" or "clunk". Only from a stop and usually only if I really press the pedal to the floor. Anyone...

Folks these are good suggestions posted above.

The rear sway mounts should be inspected as well as all four constant velocity joints. If you don't feel comfortable doing this - then take the car to a good Porsche shop.
