I bought an OBDII reader a while back for my 07 Passat and would like to use it on my:

997-1 S '06

6 Speed Manual

44K Miles

Would like to use it to read System Fault Visit Workshop Errors. I ALWAYS liked that with my VW, so when I brought to the dealer

I would have the error codes printed out felt like I had the upper hand (until they gave me the bill that is :-| )

Could someone point me to a trusted OBDII software that will work on my PC AND\OR an affordable hardware\software kit?
