After battery replacement, heated seats and home link is not functioni

Recommended Posts

My battery died on my 2005 C2S during a storage period and after I replaced the battery the home link system and the heated seats do not work. Any ideas welcome, I was told I need to have a simple system reset via the OBDII but the dealership wanted $99 just to analyze the problem.

Had the exact same thing happen to my 2006 after recharging a dead battery. The other function I noticed not working was the small led downlight behind the rearview mirror.

I took it to the dealer for a simple reset or "handover" of the computer. All is well now.

Good Luck.

Hmm... both of those are controlled in the OBC control unit.

Many MY2005 cars have had problems with these control units losing their program and either have to be be re-programmed or replaced. Chances are that is what is needed in this case.
