help nsf window fault does'nt drop 03 c4s

Recommended Posts

HI I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A 996 C4S UK RHD 2003 MANUAL. :help: THE PROBLEM IM HAVING IS THE NSF WINDOW IS NOT DROPPING FROM THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE BUT WORKS FINE FROM THE OUT SIDE HANDLE? so to confirm the window drops when pulling the inside release handle but shoots back up instantly causing the window to catch the seal around the top of the body aperture when trying to shut the door... if i open it from the outside handle it works as it should making me think the regulator is fine, i've also done the window memory reset which has'nt helped... The interior light works off both inner and outer handles so the cars seeing the door open but missing a signal somewhere?? is it a micro switch for the interior door handle thats at fault??? has anybody had the same fault?? Thanks in advance Adam  I HOPE I'VE POSTED THIS IN THE RIGHT SECTION IM NEW

There are three microswitches that affect the window drop: one behind the inside door handle, one behind the outside door handle, and the third one inside the lock assembly.

Since the problem you are having only manifests itself when you pull on the inside door handle, that microswitch (or a connection leading to/from it) is the most likely suspect.

You have to remove the door panel to gain access.

When you post the fix, if you could post a couple of photos of the microswitch, etc., it will help future members who run into this problem.

Regards, Maurice.
